Clearly Amgen has a turnover problem.

There also seems to be a disconnect between HQ and sales, similar to other companies. There may not be turnover in HQ positions, but in sales that tends to be a huge problem. And sales (among others) is a major driver of the bottom line for Amgen.

Holy shit, Karl Marx. So, you're saying that we get our revenue through sales? Who da thunk it? What are your some of your thoughts on different econometric conceptual frameworks?

Hey dumbass. There is revenue that the salesforce does not generate! You are probably a Wharton grad who thinks their $hit don’t stink and is smarter than everyone else.

Can you explain what you mean?? I mean I'm sure it means it's high turnover but what do you mean by 4/17 out of every 12???

    FIFY

See, I'm as smart as you. Amgen derives most of our revenue from the sell of bioligics. Run along, now, child. You're pathetic and a moron.

More business acumen from Captain Obvious:

A bank needs money to operate
Acquiring a company involves its purchase
Most CEOs are in charge of their organization
A raise in your salary means that you make more money
    Manufacturers make products
A sale is when you sell

Except sales reps don't actually SELL anything. There is no exchange of goods or money and no promise to buy or contract signed with an amount to buy. Hence why we often don't understand why a sales rep could be hitting up a doctor and think they're doing a great job and making a difference but then the "sale" doesn't happen, i.e. The doctor isn't writing as many scripts as we expect. They are physician influencers, nothing more. You sales reps give yourself wayyyy too much credit.

That influence is 5% - 10%, at the most.

If you don’t like it at Amgen, then find a new job. There are many companies hiring.

Umm...isn’t that the point of this thread? Discussing the high turnover rate and the reasons behind it? Gee what a way to retain top talent...‘if you don’t like Amgen, then find a new job’...Unfortunately that’s exactly what is happening here and that is a problem.

Which is why we're always playing for Runner-up.

Runner up is being kind. O Amgen as a whole is is 4th or 5th at best.

You are being generous. From an oncology company standpoint there are at least 25 companies far better than Amgen. Probably more...
