You know, I'm looking at my calendar and I gotta tell you, it's hard to believe we are just two short weeks from the end of Q2. Seems like just yesterday, we were coming back from the holidays and getting ready for the NSM! Folks, first and foremost, some of you may know I was a model and an actor in my younger years. I have skills that allow me to pretend I know what I'm doing in a convincing way because....acting! That said, running an elite GI specialty pharmaceutical sales force is challenging. There are a lot of moving parts. When I came to Salix from the Valeant dental business, I recognized the complexity of the business, and realized quickly I knew nothing about it. So I made up a big cheer, yelled a lot and sweat on stage in order to deflect attention away from my inexperience and lack of qualifications. The more and louder I blather on, the less you think about the fact that I am really.....saying.....nothing. McKenna liked me and here I sit. King Shit of Turd Mountain. That said, we are not where we need to be. We need to sharpen the axe. Fill the gaps. But make no doubt about it folks, you own this. And I'm not going anywhere.
