Sales and other revenue-producing positions will be saved. They will be needed to quickly rebuild the losses.

they are going to furlough people and send to unemployment. People can volunteer for furlough. This means people they pick to go will probably mean workers that have been there a long time. and when they call people back then these people will not be called back eliminating the need to give them severance,
you can bet the ivory tower will not make the cut and still get their bonuses and options. Will the people that will cover for the shortage be given stay bonuses.?

I thought bailout was suppose to protect letting people go.

This furlough plan sounds half baked to me. We should be laser focused on how to resolve backlog and TAT issues rather than stressing out our employees even more with this stuff.

    Is sales safe for sure?

So far. Hiring freezes, but don't think sales will be effected.

We are. And in case you missed the memo, you and everyone else in sales are non-essential. This is a war and we are fighting to save lives. Stay in your homes. God knows that shouldn’t be much of a change for most of you. Stay out of our way, and stop being part of the problem. We’ve got this.

What an incredibly pathetic, nasty, disgusting excuse you are for a “human being” who doesn’t even work for the company whose employees you troll every day of your hate filled miserable existence.

You seem to have a lot of very specific information about this individual, considering the fact that this is an anonymous message board. What are your sources, junior? Because without any, you have no credibility.

In your case your should not only stay home in your basement apartment but turn off the internet because we don't want your hate and negativity for at least the next month. We will let you know when you can go back to your same old posting of crap but until then just read a book or watch some reruns of golden girls.

Well, we're going into June and no cuts in the sales force. QDx should be proud of keeping their sales force together during this pandemic. Reps back in the field next week, so we can breath a sigh of relief.

COVID 19 is a blessing to the small labs that can hang on. Insurers are realizing the screwed up only contracting with large labs. I have 8 new contracts with insurers since April 1. The insurers said the complaints from providers about Labcrap, Quest and Bio have tripled since COVID started. I was told them want more local/regional labs to compete with the National companies. My lab is thriving with our COVID testing and will be able to hang on. Our volume is over our pre-COVID numbers and our revenue is up. Quest SUCKS!

Nobody cares about you or your little commercial lab that survives by staying off the MediCare fraud radar.

Things might seem good now, but you're one OIG inquiry away from unemployment. Good luck in this job market!!!

This poster is correct. Not sure who the “small lab” guy is that’s always spouting off his fantasy nonsense on our board but perhaps he should tend to whatever small amount of business that he still has. We are the industry leader in clinical laboratory medicine and that will never change. He won’t recover.
