My DBL is pressuring me for ride alongs. The majority of my accounts aren’t even open to visitors and the ones that are have told me that they would ideally only like to see one person at a time and not even that. He is getting very demanding and I feel very uncomfortable. I think I may take short term leave until this is resolved. Is anyone else getting pressure? I would love to be back in the field as much as the next person, but don’t want to endanger anyone, including myself and my family.

Cough, sniffle and sneeze as much as possible. If he wants to ride in the car with you make sure you have a few balled up tissues in the center console. Good Luck!

That’s nothing, my SRD Pestered me about a ride along. I finally had to tell him I was on vacation just to get away

This is why pharma is a complete joke. No other industry does this. They need to do ride alongs to justify their jobs..plain and simple. What have they been doing over the last 3.5 months. Nothing! Maybe an email here or there, hop on some conference calls and let the reps educate about disease state and bullshit trials. Think about it, they are always traveling and for the most part trying to get away from their families, collect a ton of travel and hotel points, and eat and drink on the company dime. Can’t do that right now, so they need to justify their existence. Some are even getting “leadership certificates” from Harvard and the Wharton School to show some sort of activity and development. Industry is a shit show and we will be on lockdown again..it’s not getting any better folks.

This industry is a joke......if we don’t stay on you so called “professional reps,” you’ll never leave your house all day. In what other industry do people with 6 figure jobs whine all the time? Go get a job at a bank if you’re miserable or decide to embrace you have a challenging job and get paid insane amounts for what little you actually do as a rep
