Sorry to hear. Just know Biogen has been recruiting for these positions pre covid. Many have offers already extended. Hopefully your geography is not one of them. Just be vigilant in your approach and don’t be guillible to the opportunity. Good luck.

Has anybody been thru panel interviews or have they started yet? Has a start date been announced?

Chill start date has been pushed back to early Q4. Offers are going out. Many accepting these “contingent offers” and will sit on them until Oct to see what’s up with this iffy product to see if it’s worth the risk.

    Is salary negotiable?

is 180K attainable if already around that level?

Gilead is offering 180K for experienced reps for their inflammation launch.

Probably not attainable here. Gilead is known industry-wide for their generous compensation. They also have a product that is 99% likely to be approved.

I would agree. I have multiple colleagues here at Biogen who have interviewed at Gilead, a few have landed jobs there. The job here will be good (assuming approval), but if you are fortunate to get a Gilead offer, take it for sure.

Who is the lost soul bringing Gilead into this thread. It’s not even remotely related to neuro sales. What’s your point. Lmao!

I have no idea for sure. All I can say is that the email from the p1 recruiter said total comp of 185-205k. No idea for sure what all that includes. That being said, the manager I just spoke to said that they were hopping to bring reps in at the senior level, but they have an executive level. No harm in trying to push for that with the higher base, especially if you have the experience. Also, Gilead is not offering 180k base for everyone, by any means. I was also told that there will be two phases, as others have said, and, as of now, the position I applied for won’t be before August, most likely.

Clarified with recruiter. Said 185k-205k total package is just base + bonus. Doesn’t include benefits, RSU’s, etc. They do not know what the target bonus is, though.

Check with the recruiter again — that range is base, bonus, and stock.

Geeeez do you pharma babies need everything spelled out. Damn anyone in specialty pharma knows the standard base pay range especially at Biogen and the rest of big pharma.

Damn, anyone who has a clue knows the average, but also knows that there can be a sizable variance between companies. Hope you find one someday!
