Are you joking? Oh hell no to the field rides and lunches. So seriously all of Astrazeneca is in the field?? Every state?

When will they send us home? Should we get hazard pay??? The numbers are going up fast in Arizona, TX and Fl. Other states are quickly following. At what point is our safety important? I hear most if not every rep is scared. AZ has done a fantastic job protecting us but is it time to consider a new career?

Doctors and staff are testing covid positive left and right. How many AZ reps are testing positive? Any stories about reps getting covid yet??

Just a matter of time until most states are back on shelter in place...The numbers are legitametly rising and the election is nearing...it will be 24 hour a day apocalypse news for a few months...No way AZ can allow us out with these trends.

If we are pulled out of field again, hoping I'm wrong, but stay at home will be different as well. Thinking that offices won't even do virtual and sign for samples online.
In addition, there's simply not enough work to work from home.
It will be more like forced vacation or even furlogh. Our region was in competition, as were the managers, to see how much extra work could be thrown out, so everyone else could see and brag about how their people were plugged in. Exercise in futility.
I dread another stay at home order. Some regions and teams did nothing at home.
    Not so for our region.

‘If you can, go back to school to become a NP or a PA, or whatever. This thing will be with us a very, very long time. If antibodies only last a short time, will a vaccine last just a few months? Offices will be tightening even more their rules on seeing reps. Between getting samples online and coupons, and not seeing us, how long before they give up on brand name drugs, and go mostly if not all generics? We brought no value before Covid, and now we are a true liability to our offices.

What do you mean I brought no value? I used to bring pictures of last vacation and show all the girls in the office pics. They loved it :) Don't forget about the time I dressed up for Halloween as a cheerleader and the office loved it! When I bring lunch I also bring super cute doilies for everyone to put their drink on! Everyone just loves me cause of my professionalism!!!!! :)

LOL! This made my day. Too funny and so sarcastic. Unfortunately so true about some of the reps I see every day. You wonder why doctors don't want to see representatives. Unfortunately we are all lumped together and have to live with the communication major cheer leaders so prevalent in our industry today.

We will be pulled out of the field in next 2 weeks if the trend continues. My manger has a contact in house. He said get ready but it won’t be announced until we get close.

I highly doubt it...they are still talking about a live Symbicort launch in the Fall?!? It’s business as usual folks:(!

Talk is cheap. I’ve been in this business 14 years. We are lied to all the time/ keep focused and increase sales, cover their job/ impress senior mgt. Their job is to sell/ convince us all is fine. We are on a need to know basis/ focus on sales daily. Just like my military days/ they won’t tell you bad news until they have too/ Often managers dont have a clue/ I’ve heard all the lies “we won’t have layoffs here/ our pipeline is robust/ this is the last job you will need/ your kids will work for this company/ our future is bright/ your with the best company/ your the best sales force/ .bla bla bla. It doesn’t matter what they are talking about. Covid doesn’t care about our petty launch. Hope we keep our jobs/ but be realistic.

wait one gosh darn minute, I have been wearing my scrubs, I should be totally fine! I essentially have an anti- COVID force-field around me whenever I have those on.

Also, I should probably wash those things, they are getting pretty rank with this summer heat.

Imagine if a rep tests positive for Covid. I would imagine the company would have to notify every office he or she has been in for the last 14 days or so. That would go over well.
