any insight on this division outside of what was posted in 2013? Looking for insight on pay, longevity of a career, Work life balance , etc
The business unit (it's a part of the Medical division, not it's own) is now Emergency Care, as it has been merged with the Physio Controm business since the 2014 acquisition of that company. The portfolio is broad, and growing. Comp is standard to SYK, slightly higher than industry, but it's almost all capital sales which is unique within SYK and a challenge with municipal and hospital budget cycles and challenges. Products are premium, and are priced accordingly. Quality is premium also. Territories are pretty large, and customers can be really spread out, as fire stations and EMS services generally are. I hear that Stryker has paused hiring right now, even in the field which is pretty unprecendented for them. Typically they stop hiring everywhere BUT sales. However, with the current state of things, this might be the one product portfolio that can weather the storm. So, no. Not at all the same as 2013.
Thank you for your insight. That is helpful. Seems like a relatively good division to be in from what I can tell..
Doesn't matter for the rest of this year - Stryker isn't hiring anyone, sales included, through the remainder of 2020. And it's anyone's guess what the sales structure will look like after that.
Yes, from KL directly. Corporation wide. No hiring, no back-fills, no travel and no meetings through 12/31.
This job has reopened in a few states already. Anyone know what expected comp would be ? Are people generally happy in this division ?
This is from the outside looking in, but this seems to be a pretty entry level device job considering the call points and products.
What is the % payout? Heard territories are small and the payout isn’t as good as 5+ years ago. True?
Have an interview for this division. Before I go through the grueling interview process, could anyone share the comp plan? Are goals achievable? Is there a year end bonus? How are commissions paid/the structure?
Applied for one of the Emergency Care openings in FL. Any info about territories, manager, team and sales comp is appreciated. Thank you
comp probably close to high 100k in an average territory. DECENT reps pulling 200K+ consistently. Not an entry level job and you’ll find that out if you get the job. call points are good though- fire and EMS agencies for the most part. Down to earth people. Some top performers realistically above 400k+. Have heard of a few 7 figure reps but those are in major metro areas supply chain in this area, across all competitors, are killing sales and causing major headaches- back orders for zoll, syk, Philips all 30 weeks+ to deliver product
