If they are cutting the lifeblood of the company, you better believe that reps sitting at home not driving sales are the next to go.

They could get rid of the entire R&D department and nobody would even know. They don’t exactly have a stellar record do they. Their record buying companies for drugs is even worse. Their insistence of never venturing outside neuroscience is even more disturbing. It does look like they are gutting R&D to save Or raise money. Paying us to work an hour a day is also insane. But what the hell, I’ll take it!

Fine by me! Give me a severance and I’ll be happy. It’s an embarrassment to work for this company with their call requirements and having no respect for our customers and their time. This management is so out of touch with the field and what our customers need. I’d rather be laid off then work here on the psychiatry side at this point.

Here’s the problem. First, Lundbeck is afraid to tell the sales team to get back into the field 100% because they could possibly find themselves being sued if someone caught the virus and died. This is not a stay-at-home job. Have everyone sign a waiver that you won’t sue if you catch the virus. If you won’t sign, then you are fired with a severance. This virus is now endemic like influenza. It will always be here. When the much hurried vaccine comes out ( 6 months to do what normally takes years to complete) take it and roll the dice. This industry won’t survive with a model like Veeva Engaged.

The other problem is none of the pharma companies know anything else to do to market their drugs. VE or a similar platform is all they have to market their drugs! How can pharma companies be expected to pay full salaries and bonuses to people that are barely working, either by choice or they can’t make it work, indefinitely? It’s ludicrous to think they can. Maybe they can completely replace the entire sales team with a real CSO and come out ahead. Who knows. All I know is that I have a tee time at 2 pm and need to run!

Access Right now to neurologists for a face to face call is just about zero.
Because of Covid they basically have completely shut their doors to reps Especially if you don’t have samples.
Vyepti is definitely being affected by
Covid there’s no way to get in front of the doctors to explain the benefits , and then on top of that to go over the PA process and insurance coverage which we have none right now.

Then what will our managers do? And the manager's manager?

let the managers lead by example! Let them call on top neurologist in their district and see what they can do with them! My guess they will be able to do absolutely nothing! It’s time they actually took on a meaningful role. All they do now is administrative functions. When, When is upper management going to realize that their lower management contributes very little to the bottom line?

This is completely false!! There are many offices that are more than willing to meet with people. In addition, there are many customers willing to meet with us in coffee shops etc. I would guess that access is open to approximately 30-40% of the country. Someone who is saying it is zero is just plain lazy. Get creative and find ways to see customers. They will see you!

Thanks Tres, JA or Kaya. I don’t believe your 30% to 40% number at all. What doctor is going to meet you at a coffee shop anyway?? Why would they when they can get samples anytime they want. Other than samples and food, what value do we bring in talking about 2 or 3 drugs that offer nothing over the generics or our competition? You know the answer as well as we do! Besides, we have now gotten used to our new setup. It’s a helluva lot easier on us to stay at home! Lundbeck May just have to adjust to less revenue/profit. WORLD CLASS IN ALL WE DO!

Meet at Coffee shop is against Pharma Code, if you are in the industry, you should know that!

Not true. You can meet people wherever you want. You just can provide them a meal anywhere. However, many companies are relaxing compliance measures due to Covid.

Stick a fork in it, it’s done.
COVID has changed the role of the pharmaceutical sales executive, for those of you who are dim, no longer needed. U may want to see them but they ain’t seeing you nor will they.
Most territories will eventually get back to about 25% of preCOVID access. this time next year u won’t be a deli slinger at Lundbeck.

R & D ??here ?? its a joke, save the money and get rid of those fools. They couldn't discover a decent molecule even if was given to them. If they had been the only company in research at the turn of the century we still be using leeches!!!
