    If first of many layoffs why are the positions posted for back-fill?

    Based on our ex-employee-friend's spending copious amounts of time obsessing over the supposed impending failure of Alimera, I think it is fair to guess that s/he was fired for lack of productivity.

    so, basically 2 OUS distributors bought a quantity of product. That’s what allowed us to survive another quarter of business.

    Great to hear that a deal with a Chinese distributor has been agreed for iluvien. This will open up further opportunities for sure.

    That’s the only strategy we have. Finding new distributors to send product to that will just sit on the shelf.

    Wow...you're such a smart guy. You'd think these billion dollar companies would do some research and figure out what you have. Oh.....maybe they have done their research and you're just a disgruntled ex-employee that doesn't know crap.

    It like this. When we can sell to a distributor its called "an increase in sales". When you have no more distributors to sell to, sales drop off. Iluvien is designed to keep patients from having to return for monthly injections, so you would think during the pandemic numbers of units would increase. Genentec's numbers are up as well as other VEGF companies. Funny how are numbers continiue to drop?

    The wet AMD market is driving sales of anti vegf drugs, those patients are prioritised in clinics as they can loose vision very quickly, so sales are holding well. It’s the patients with DME that are not attending clinics that’s why steroid sales are down.

    You continue to make my point. You're smarter than all these international distributors that keep buying our product and they don't even realize they have a warehouse full that hasn't moved in 5 years. Shhhh...stop telling them our corporate strategy....they haven't figured it out after 5 years on the market. And certainly don't let the new Asian company figure out they they will buy millions that will never move out of their warehouses. I'm sure they did no market research before making their deal.

    Well genius - here’s the real deal. Alimera basically sold the rights to the Chinese to sell Iluvien under private label in exchange for 10 million and agreed to “milestones” which the Chinese know will never be met, so no more money will ever paid out. This was a desperate move as no one else (banks, VCs, etc) would EVER be willing to lend any more money to a company that is so buried in debt, it’s grotesque. BTW, genius, I’m not a guy.

    so observant you are....so let’s look at the numbers, shall we? Q1, 2021 produced 737 units sold, divide

    that by 3 months performance and this equates to 245 a month, Globally?! Now, with roughly 50 representatives out there selling this equates to each rep responsible for 5 units a month....yep, 5. Boy...we’re killing it!!!
