Definitely some of the people I had to deal with.

Seeing red again?! What's up with the red text? I worked for a piece of crap company (CRAP COMPANY) that was trying to piggyback the success of another company's (COMPANY A) product by selling off-label. We role played dialogue pointing out the potential side effect of COMPANY A's product in an attempt to create a need in order to sell the CRAP COMPANY's crap product off-label. If you were COMPANY A, would you want a piece of crap company pointing out a potential side effect of your product? The answer is no.

I hope AbbVie + COMPANY A isn't negotiating with the 100+ year old mummy (CRAP COMPANY). I would say to the CRAP COMPANY, "this is how it is going to be, or we are going to come after everything you have." You need the physicians to make this work. If I was a physician, which I am not, would I want to do business with the company that embarrassed me and my profession with blatant ignorance or the innovative company that will most likely have me involved in clinical research for new medicines? I imagine the government wants to support an innovative company that resides in the U.S. rather than the CRAP COMPANY that embarrassed them too. Rochester will endure. As far as the sales meetings go, they are all the same. The women are running around trying to get laid just as much as the guys. As long as sales meetings exist, this will most likely be the case. I know reps that slept with physicians (or physicians that slept with reps depending on how you perceived the situation). It’s the nature of the beast. If I go to a meeting, the last people I want to be around are reps.

Worst experience as drug rep? Had a doc show me his gun at a lunch and he pointed it at me and my partner giving lunch. We dove under the table.

Has Forest made this company into a shitty place to work? I have never heard a good thing about Forest.

I once had a female doc who had a mamma bird fetish.

Every time I had a lunch with her office, she’d grab her Panera bread sandwich and make me follow her from the lunch room to her office. Once there, she’d make me a circle of lab coats ( a nest if you will) on the floor and force me to sit in the middle of it. After I was seated, she’d force me to make chirping sounds and look towards the ceiling, mouth wide open.

She’d chomp off a big bite of her sandwich and run in a circle, flapping her arms as she chewed. After a couple of moments, she’d approach, bringing her face within inches of mine and regurgitate the sandwich from her mouth and into mine and demand that I swallow. This would continue until the sandwich was gone.

My best efforts to resist were useless. She threatened to report me to compliance and accuse me of encouraging off label use unless I complied. She was a big writer so at the end of the day, I did what I had to do to protect the business.

She always called me her “Little Peep”. I think the staff knew what was happening, they’d always make chirping sounds behind my back as I left the office.

So, yeah, I guess that was the worst thing that happened to me as a rep.

picking up a coworker from the airport for a ride a long that is completely unnecessary, make one call, get drunk, bang the hell out of her (I have a few SC, CS…) and go home.

True story…it was beyond fucked up. I finally escaped when territories got realigned for the Azor launch.

So, I guess that’s my best memory.
