Anybody like it? I haven't found anyone yet that does. Daylight when you come in, daylight when you leave. About 3 waking hours a day at home to take care of everything and spend a little time with your wife and kids. We're coming up on 3 months now and we seem to be the only company still not back to normal hours. Quite simply this is the worst shift I have ever been on in my life. Do you think it's about time for management to revisit the schedule? What do you think my fellow third shifters?
We in management know our third shift is the backbone of the company, but we just don’t like to show y’all appreciation or even acknowledge your existence. We understand that we treat you like the red headed step child but sorry that’s how it is. You know what I’m sayin? You know what I’m sayin?
It is a terrible shift. Instead of eating supper with my family now I’m driving to work. I talked to my supervisor about it and I know him well enough that he has passed the info up the chain. That means upper management either doesn’t realize how much everyone hates the shift or they just don’t care. Either way it’s not a good look for them or the company. My wife says it’s time to work on my resume, she is of the opinion that Stryker isn’t going to be able to straighten this hot mess out. She’s probably right.
I have worked for many years and all 3 shifts and I have to say this the most inconvenient one that I have been on. The strangest part is the 2+ hour gap between 1st and 3rd. We were told this was so day shift could work overtime if needed. Really? Most all non essential surgeries were shut down immediately so there is no need for overtime. Bringing us in at 5:00 would have made more sense. This used to be a company that cared about the employees. Maybe not so much anymore.
Hell no!! Who the hell wants to come in at 5pm and work till 3:30am. You can’t accomplish a thing at home with those shit hours. Kick it back to 8pm so we can eat dinner with our family. That would make 1st shift work 7-5:30 and we all know they’ll bitch and whine like 5 year olds. So we can count that out..
Well considering the poster was forced to work different start times since March unlike those on day shift makes pretty damn good sense to me. But don’t worry we had our meeting with Doyle about these shit ours.
hahaha yeah right. Production can’t keep up. Ain’t happenin’ and weekends isn’t doing shit. That’s one shift that need to be the first to go!
Yeah okayyy. Management doesn’t even know how to wipe their own ass much less give any input on when these fucked up hours are over. I can’t wait for Strykers “day 1”. Fuck the bullshit.
I work from home for the time being and I was told that everything back to normal in August you idiot, continue working in your covid infestation of a work environment you are in. Asshole
