The company I work for has not explicitly grounded reps during the pandemic. My manager is conducting field visits. Should I take issue with this or just be grateful I have a job?

IMHO I would accept the field ride & keep your job. Huge changes are coming in this industry & now is not the time to look for another job. They are realizing they don’t need all of us & don’t need all of the managers.

Important thing to consider is this: is your manager jeopardizing your access by accompanying you into offices during Covid?

Absolutely reject any such notion of a manager riding with you if you give a shit about your family, your customers, the patients, or yourself. This would bring potential Covid exposure that is completely unnecessary to you. The manager is only trying to protect his/her job and is being reckless with your life. Is a stupid rep job really worth your life?

This just proves how ridiculous this industry has become. Managers insisting on field rides while jeopardizing his rep, the reps offices, and himself. Take a tip and realize the "writing is on the wall", that this industry is done. The fact that some companies are having reps do Zoom calls after sending lunch in for the office and the Dr. basically waves for the camer......what a complete joke. Pharmaceutical reps of today are the laziest reps out there and have no merit.
