The reps are asked to do two zooms per day. That’s fine. Customer engagement Is what moves business. What level of customer engagement do the AVPs and DMs do? (Other than sitting in on a rep generated zoom)? We have too much management for this current situation. If all hands aren’t attempting to do 2, 3, 4 zooms a day, where is the value that they bring. This is a serious question. How many customer interactions (Other than with reps)are required from middle and lower-level management? If the answer is none then where is their value? What are these employees bringing to the company.

Someone has to pose for the pictures that need to go to LS.
and who would add all of the marketing and SCG people in thanks when something is won even when they did nothing. AVPs should be brought down to D1
They have no span of control or influence over anything

It’s a great question!! I was Starting to wonder when someone would post this. Reps are being hammered with zooms! It’s totally out of control. 90 percent is a waste of time and we are repeating the same stuff over and over.

I really don’t care what managers do BUT if you are going to absolutely obliterate reps with zooms then managers need to participate. Don’t managers still need to know the product and practice role plays as well. They do still have some customer interaction.

Managers are getting away with Murder right now. Everything is rep led and rep participation. They don’t even think up the stuff to zoom about! They put that on a rep! Then they hop on the zoom and just watch the work be done.

i cant wait for the first manager to even try to defend this. Someone higher up needs to look into this ASAP. It’s not right.

This thread is about to blow up. I know my team is sick of it and I know plenty of others that are really pissed. I have been here a while and there is no question this is a low point by quite a lot. It has crossed the line and is harassment.

I can give you so many examples since COVID started that are happening on my team and other teams. We literally have reps with COVID being asked to continue working. Sick reps still having to zoom! Constant and repetitive role plays. Reps need to realize that they do have some power and if that means starting to document your managers every move and reporting it to you AVP or even higher, then that is what needs to be done. I would avoid HR and go above the AVP possibly.

If you are interested leave your comments. A private forum could be started and a lot of ideas can be floated between the reps on an anonymous basis at first. There are easy ways to verify identity to ensure it is reps only.

Don't let the system use and abuse you. We are being harassed and managers need to be held accountable. I hate that it is coming to this but everyone I have talked to feels the same way. The field is disgruntled on a whole new level and being treated unfairly.

How often are you zooming? Are they all internal? Are you being held to a certain number of external zooms with customers per week? Sorry to those going through this type of absurdity.

Our team does a couple every week lasting about 3 hours total for the week. When you factor in the prep time for these calls, its a big time waster. If your boss is not asking the team if it is valuable, but instead mandates it, then you my friend have a micromanager.

I mandated my team to have at least 2-3 zoom calls with physicians per day. Anything less mean they are not working hard enough. No excuses.

My surgeons would probably ask for my managers name and then proceed to call the AVP. It wouldn't go over well.
