I know that reps are frantically running around to doctors offices and trying to get them to sign off on prescription changes that the prescribers were not even aware of. Some of the “formulation substitutions” happened years ago.

They are desperately trying to cover up as much forgery as they can. The doctor I work for refused to sign off on this and reported them.

Only the sleeziest of sleeze bags are still working for Bill and Greg!

Having Smart Pharmacy as your most recent employer will blacklist you from any future in medical sales.

No argument here. After this guy and his butt buddy Dabkowsk Finish running this company into bankruptcy, which might be 2-6 months from now, Menneto will never work in this industry again. Maybe as a towel boy at the local car wash, but nothing more than that.

You sound like one of the last remaining sales reps at this fraudulent pharmacy. Any business taking place at Smart Pharmacy is just a facade. It’s a piss poor attempt for them not to look like criminals after years of defrauding the healthcare industry.

I’d advise you not to waste one more second worrying about this company and start worrying about finding a new job. One that you won’t read about on the DOJ press releases.

  6. I am following this thread since 2019. I hear a lot of cursing and accusation from anonymous saying Greg and his partner should go to jail and such.
I know them and I would be curious to find out the real thing, allegations, accusations without real proof are just empty words. If they really did what the lawsuit says it should not be hard at all to prove.
Does anyone have a result of the lawsuit ?

As far as I know they are open for business normal hours.

    Just curious....

DOJ is collecting evidence. discovery isn’t due until Jan 2021. it’s coming.

It’s definitely not hard to prove. There are no empty words here. DOJ already has all of the evidence they need.

Just sit back and enjoy the show

"Jeff B" Is that Jeff Brooks, a current pharmacist still working for their sister company "SmartWorker's Pharmacy?"

I used to work for them in billing. They are scammers. They had us doing a lot of "just do, don't ask" type things. Made sure we only used certain verbiage when leaving notes in the system, talking to people outside of the company etc. Things are very hard to prove seeing as they made sure to keep their employees in the dark about why they were doing a lot of things; any naysayer would be fired most of the time. It was better to just do as you're told.

The government is well aware that employees were instructed to commit fraud by Greg Balotin. That’s why they brought separate charges against him specifically.

Keeping employees in the dark about what they were doing was an essential component of their strategy. I witnessed him sit next to employees in charge of refills and coach them on what to say and do. Same thing with the billing department, shipping department, sales team, etc.

I really hope Smart Pharmacy is brought to justice. Watching small men scam patients, tax payers, private and federal healthcare systems out of tens of millions of dollars, and then hide behind attorneys is so pathetic.

I’m still an employee here. I’m not sure how true this is, but I’ve been told by one the owners that they are very close to reaching an agreement with the government. He say that they will probably only have to pay a small fine. He insists that this will be settled out of court, and no criminal charges will be filed. He is not very worried about this lawsuit at all, and acted like it was just a big joke.

Great. They can focus on a few other lawsuits coming their way.

Just got a call today from an attorney preparing another lawsuit against Smart Pharmacy. Is this place even in business anymore? Are they still allowed to do compounding with all the lawsuits against them for fraud?

Any compounding that is currently being done at Smart Pharmacy is just an attempt to come across as a legit pharmacy. A last ditch effort to make up for years of fraud, waste and abuse. It’s an embarrassment to the entire healthcare system if the government doesn’t pursue criminal charges against Bill Scrogins and Greg Balotin.

These guys make a name for themselves wherever they go. The state of California recently revoked their license for the cannabis lab they opened. Guess why? The were running another scam. Falsifying lab results to draw more business, at the expense of public health and safety. Classy

I mean, how much fraud are you allowed to commit in this country before you’re charged criminally?

    https://www.theblacklist.xyz/story/564?title=cannafraud

Dear Blacklist, I am so happy to see someone is finally starting to expose the fraudsters behind and within Cannasafe. I was surprised to see the immediate response from Cannasafe requesting for the website to take down a story down that’s totally true. Aaron and his partners should address their fraud instead of claiming it’s not true. We have also been doing our own digging on Aaron since he threatened to sue us, so I thought we could help expose the owners of Cannasafe lies once and for all. We are a large brand in California that has been threatened by Aaron and Bill when we confronted them. I have also met Scroggins and can confidently tell you that he and Aaron Riley are best friends, and do a lot of business together, and it is without-a-doubt true that Aaron has been funding Scroggins and vice versa. You can read about it on here: https://medium.com/authority-magazine/5-things-i-wish-someone-told-me-before-i-started-leading-a-cannabis-business-with-aaron-riley-and-3acad061460c

There have been several labs in California that sent me data proving that CannaSafe had passed my products that had been contaminated with over the legal limit of safe pesticides -- I can share this with confidence as my facility has vastly improved since working with Cannasafe. I now work with Bel Costa Labs who has helped us by showing exactly how our product became contaminated. We as marijuana brands have no intention of making anyone sick, but we rely on these labs without doing our homework on them.

When working with Aaron it was a quick phone call of “Don’t worry it will pass.”

When working with Myron’s team at Bel Costa Labs, Myron and his team take the time to help us understand how to keep our product safe and make it consistent.

Bill Scroggins and Greg Balotin are well known coke heads in Santa Monica when they aren’t being indicted in Florida. We will be sharing a lot more information on this topic over the coming weeks.

    Check out this link:

    https://smartpharmacy.com/our-team/

Greg Balotin and Bill Scroggins are Aaron’s mentors and were the capital behind Cannasafe; they in turn used the profits to help their fraud business in Florida. Cannasafe used to be considered reliable, because they would turn your product around and have it tested within 24 hours, without ever a fail. I have since learned that it is actually impossible to test within 24 hours, so they have been lying about test scores.

The poor Cannasafe employees will get hurt by this as well because whenever a company funds capital and profits to a fraudulent business that is related (i.e. has the same owners), the Federal Government will get involved, and this will all turn very ugly for Aaron and the poor employees. The story has been flagged by the relevant authorities here, so thank you Blacklist.

I really hope we don’t have another public legal embarrassment in the industry, which means we as a community need to start self-governing more. We are so grateful for community platforms like TheBlacklistXYZ, because it puts scammers on notice that they are being watched and need to act right. We as a community need to prevent fraudsters from being able to even survive in this industry. Cannasafe is going to cause so many product recalls, that will spiral out of control when the public consumers think the legal market is unsafe; because of fraudsters like Cannasafe, we as a community risk the public losing trust in our emerging legal market that we fought so hard to create.

So outside of waiving copays, and adding potentially dangerous drugs to these creams strictly to inflate the cost, it looks like they were also forging prescriptions by misrepresentation.
