My lab has reached capacity and is not taking on new COVID-19 accounts. Instead of turning away business, I would rather set these accounts up with a different lab. Can anybody recommend an ethical lab with good science, fast turnaround, and enough capacity to handle roughly 8,000 additional COVID-19 samples a month?

My lab has plenty of room for COVID testing, would be happy to accommodate. Send me an email - jpw06c@gmail.com.

I love when someone posts " my lab" and then their email is @gmail.com
if it was your lab or you were a direct employee you would have a company email

All labs are ramping up capacity while demand is flat or dropping.

The government is grossly over paying for results that are too often delayed or inaccurate.

Labs are getting rich off of the cash grab.

The whole picture is a clown show!!

You are simply making crap up posting that the labs are giving inaccurate results. I suppose there will be the rare exception but 99.99% of labs don't give inaccurate results. Provide some stats to prove that when you factor in the number of testing going on every day. You can't back up your stats and we all know its a lie!

As far as delayed results, most labs have the results back in 24-72 hours.
One would argue that this is not some cash grab when the test is only paying out $100.00
There are FAR more profitable tests than COVID-19.

This is basic common sense as to why labs are offering COVID-19 if you use your brain for once, you should try it.

The real reason so many labs are offering it is the simply fact that most offices are still not seeing patients in their office anywhere close to the numbers they were before COVID-19 hit. It is sort of hard to test a patient when they don't come to the office. If the physicians office can't send you blood, or tox or genetic testing then you have to find where you can get specimens and that is from COVID-19.

generally what is cost/overhead for running the test?

Nail on Head... This is the way labs are getting in the door with potential new clients.
