I witnessed that show with Herb - very patronizing to one of the greatest minds, (and smallest egos). Herb is the true visionary leader. Too bad he wised up and removed himself.

I mean we just got told from our division we are virtual until June 2021.. no manager ride alongs so let’s just hope no downsizing in the midst of all this.

This is awesome news. This gives them time to downsize without being face to face since they are doing remote work. If they do not take advantage of this, then they are truly incompetent. Genentech needs to cut a lot of people fast.

You think they are doing it for COVID? Wrong! This virtual period has become an opportunistic beta testing for the customers' experience with virtual interactions. BA basically wants to prove to the board that he could get away with no sales people on the ground. You'd better hope the results come back horrible or all of you will be gone by September next year.

The book " The Rise and Fall of Genentech" will be published in 6 month. The final chapter is being written as we speak. It will be a cautionary tale and required read in every business school.

A classic case of how the leadership destroyed this once great place to work. It will never be good with the folks running it at this time.

Access Solutions is joke - always has been, with unprofessional people trying to get on “main” campus. They are clickie, gossipy women, and the men are poor leaders. All the good people leave and we’re leafy with these rejects. What the hell is an ASET? So stupid and pointless they don’t do anything, one guy looked like he was “high” on zoom, so sad that a company like Genentech would allow this behavior.

OMG, Access Solution is horrible. Unprofessional indeed. Have you seen their LinkedIn profiles? It’s like the who’s who of losers. They dress sloppy. A lot of those gossipy girls are flat chested. The guys are effeminate, to say the least. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Yet with all the social experiment. It doesn’t move the needle on revenue. This department doesn’t generate revenue. Yet they expand to a Portland? A lot of high quality people were let go for non essentials. Ridiculous.
