Layoff Prediction: TAM’S or CRM’s ?

    Obviously this new cluster of a model is designed to transition all the TAM’s account and customer information to the CRM’s, FRM’s, BEM’s and HD’s. It has become very obvious why these folks are now attempting to build relationships with the TAM’S customers.

    The reason for the question on who goes first in addition to the above info, is we all know that CRM’S have no customer relationships, or real account knowledge that they don’t get spoon fed from the TAM’s.

    The way I see it going;
    Jan 2021: First round cut - 50% of the TAM’s - blame Covid
    Mar 2021:Second round cuts - 90% of the CRM’s
    Jul 2021: Third round cuts - Remaining TAM’s

    Transition all business to FRM’s, BEM’s and HD’s.

    CRM's are an anchor to the company. They spend 99% of their time doing what FRMs do, and 1% what TAM's handle. they should have just contracted the CC's in the first place. PPP. Piss poor planning by yet another useless management team.

    There is no doubt that the HDs and BEMs are just compiling contacts and will discard TAMs. The new model is laying out the groundwork for a wipe out. And they think Access Solutions can do the FRM job.

    LOL, Access Solutions. SMH. They need to eliminate that department.

    I am thinking FRM’s are the first to go. The TAM’s are selling in an MBO model. The TAMs get everything FRM’s get except patient names. I think they will eliminate the FRMs. Just my thoughts.

    Some TAM roles like the rare disease teams are trained to be the FRM from my understanding so makes sense the FRM role would eventually be eliminated

    Agree. I’ve been on rare disease teams for years and never had a FRM. Never needed one, never will. TAMs can walk customers through claim issues without seeing a patient’s name.

    The rare disease folks have an SP only drug. That’s not reimbursement

    It is true that SP launch is nothing compared to a temp J code, but even that is just logistics. Reimbursement isn’t rocket science, any good TAM can manage without a FRM. Creating the XFRM role screams that management knows most brands don’t need a dedicated FRM if at all. Remember when BA said AS services will NEVER be outsourced? He probably already had this in mind where internal RSs will replace patient specific issues.

    yes FRMs over TAMs. As much as people don’t think TAMs drive revenue (yes yes great science etc), they do. But the TAMs that we’re placed and didn’t have to interview will be on the table when those brands downsize.

    FRMs will never provide the reach and frequency needed for success. I say TAMS survive over all others with continued loosened responsibilities.

    What TAM’s were placed? I thought every franchise was “transformed”? Everyone took hits.

    There is absolutely zero need for CRM’s. It is simply another layer of a non essential position. Most are acting like entitled egomaniacs with no authority. A bunch of arrogant types trying to be significant. They need to go, TAM’s can easily handle those responsibilities while continuing to drive revenue.

    Hahaha. Do you really think Genentech cares about seeing customers? They will fire everyone and make up a new position in which only those who can talk the biggest game will remain.

    And make sure you kiss the newest coach’s ass, volunteer for every meaningless sprint/work stream/project/sticky note session/trello board creation, have novel team building ideas, and talk a lot on every Zoom call.
