I’m considering interviewing for an oncology position. Could those of you in the know shed any light on what I would actually be selling and anything upcoming, salary range, company culture, car options. I realize that there are unhappy people at every company but this may be better than where I currently am. Thank you!

If the product is injectafer don't do it. DSI aquired the drug and and the sales force and turned a hospital/oncology position to primary care. they will have you calling on Obgyn and Gastro's Which is not a problem but it's not oncology. Also the product is loosing to cheaper agents. They pay no way near what oncology reps are making at other companies. If you need the job by all means take it.
They have some bonafide oncology products coming out in the next couple years. They will be me 2 and me 3 drugs but they will get you the experience you need to move on to a real on cology company. HTH

What field are you coming from? If you are coming from a hair net and name tag job then DSI oncology will be perfect. Better pay and you get to work with the same caliber of people! Or come on over to the pain side. You will have the honor of working with some of the most moronic people. Especially if you are a woman then you will fit right in with the multitude of dumbs. And there are a lot of them.

There is work on drastic changes to field sales, past few months have shown we can really change the model and get rid of much of the field fat and overhead

So what is this division like in a virtual environment? Or are you all back in the field already?

Im looking to get into oncology and was trying to see if this would be a good stepping stone but my current boss doesn’t micromanage me at all so i’m hesitant to leave a good situation
