    Our drug doesn’t do anything, our company manipulated the data to falsely inflate the benefit which caused a lot of hype around a market that’s full of generics and we didn’t take the time to fully protect our products with patents and now COVID is here to eat us alive. Hi layoffs, my name is Amarin and I don’t know what I’m doing.

    Well Welcome to Pharma;
    Rule one keep your resume and brag book current;
    Rule two always look for the next challenge
    Rule Three when the CEO says no problems here, nothing to look at, keep working for your next (last) bonus check; time to panic and find another job.

    Seriously, John made a deal with the other companies to stay out of the way, but couldn't or wouldn't for all involved. The saving grace would be if he can make a deal with the others, renegotiate with TEVA; he will probably rethink deployment of sales teams (one rep to a territory) and other cost savings measures, that will in turn increase profits and P/E for stock holders and the value of his golden parachute.

    Start looking NOW..........

    Oh please! That idiot didn’t make a deal with no other companies. Stop giving him credit for actually having a plan. He doesn’t. He needs to sell the company before $2 happens by November.

    My manager said to have our resume updated just in case there is a layoff. My manager hasn't heard anything about layoffs and she said she will be told right before the reps are told.

    word on the street is Amarin is looking to acquire another product

    Sure they are.

    They can't buy another product because the company invested too much money in this product. The company is strapped for cash right now.

    It’s very hard to acquire a product:

    1). It has to have synergy with what we do.
    2). Anything worthwhile is taken. We would get scraps. Yay.
    3). Market value of purchasing said product is 2-3 times its yearly sales.

    Oh...and all JT cares about at this point is launching Vascepa in Europe and other foreign markets. It’s over.

    This is completely untrue. The company could absolutely buy another product. They probably won't at this point in time because they are intending on focusing their efforts with Vascepa in the EU and Asia.
