A recruiter reached out to me about a biologic opening on the GI team. I have never sold a biologic but it seems like a good opportunity. Is GI a good place to be at Abbvie? Are biologic roles really the pinnacle of pharma? Honest feedback about experiences as a Humira rep appreciated! Currently selling orals in pharma and I’ve heard biologics are the way to go for career growth.

Yes....Biologics is the way to go. It took me 15 yrs selling small molecules to figure it out. Had my blinders on. Look at where the R&D dollars are being spent. Where the largest increases are in payer spending. It’s in monoclonal antibodies.

I just left biologics. Selling them
is great, getting credit for your sales is suspect, depending on where you are. Specialty pharmacy tracking is not that great.

Everyone is excited, but I am waiting for the next OEC call. That business is just one fucktard away from exploding.

    Just be patient.
