If you architect a opiod sales scam and flip on everyone else that followed your plan, the feds will suggest you only get 20 months. However, a judge can dismiss their suggestion and still give you 26 months.

The feds are far more crooked than anyone at Insys besides maybe Alec.

Not really proportional to involvement. I guess lying about others can absolve you of a longer prison sentence so the feds can pat each other on the back.

 

And they will all get released early. The only saving grace is they will never work in pharma again! With a fed conviction maybe they can get a HVAC certification and start their own business.

 

Joe used to say that he would never cheat on his wife cause he could never imagine another guy being around and raising his kids. A good and decent stance. Guess committing felonies and going away for that reason never dawned on him as problematic. #27. Time talents and treasure. Right. And bribing. And off label selling. And fake dinner program having. This is all just too good. Very glad this group went down.

Received a call from a Florida based reporter who is apparently gathering information for a forthcoming book about the most notorious Pharma company ever. He clearly has tons of info that is now public through all these trials but was digging down even further on the big reps who profited hugely from these bribes and fake dinner programs. He had all the big names, those president club “winners” year after year. Tons of malfeasance on reps part too - they can certainly claim they didn’t create the environment but no chance they can deny knowing that taking docs out for drinks and dinners etc, buying them gifts was illegal. Probably won’t lead to any more charges but at least those reps that acted like they were so talented may be outed as the scamming fakes they were. Was happy to share what I knew of a few of them.

 

Keep us posted. I cant wait to read that book.
