If only Hill's hadn't produced diets that literally killed pets then RC wouldn't have had the demand that caused all the backorders.

Who knew RC was this incompetent and inept? Their back order situation is going on far too long, pretty much all of 2021. Does nobody work for this pathetic excuse of a company anymore? No product, laughable “customer service”. It’s like they don’t realized millions and billions of pets are dependent on prescription diets. Get your sh*t together and pull your head out of your asses, RC!!

I interviewed with this company for a TM spot a couple years ago and the conversation was such a joke that I told them I wasn’t interested in pursuing. I have years of distribution and pet food sales experience, and thought I’d test the waters. Water was rancid and infested with idiots.

RC has to be thinking re org at some point. I never could have imagined that this place would fall apart as fast as it has. If you are a DM and aren't looking for another opportunity, then you need to see a shrink ASAP!

No but seriously, wtf is going on RC?! Where the F are all your diets?!?! You have clearly demonstrated you are inferior to Hills. So pathetic.

It's an absolute embarrassment to work for this brand right now!!! Good luck hitting a bonus for the next couple of year. GET OUT of this place ASAP!!

No one will have a bonus until 2025!!! Yay until then sell someone else's product.

    Exactly!!

We have zero direction from leadership besides sell OLP platforms that aren't ours. PLUS we don't make $$ pushing someone else's crap. Clearly a hail mary effort by leadership in order to look valuable and keep their jobs.

This place has been circling the drain for a long time. It is so sad that at one point this company was great and fun. Fast forward to now.......Upper management is a freaking joke....complacency will get the best of you. They are NOT leaders and have not been for a long time. The job is unrecognizable........

It is so sad that there will be no bonuses for any time in the future......They wonder why great people are leaving.....no stock, micro-management, horrible managers, misogynistic a-holes, selling other businesses products and getting no compensation attached, lying to your sales team, not getting information from your manager in a timely fashion, strong arming your reps, holding grudges and rehashing them at a later date.....and they wonder......

The reality is, the company grew too fast for its britches, spent too much money on Salesforce when hey should have put that $$ towards the new manufacturing facility to be able to handle the demand.....but noooooooo.......

So, if you are even considering applying for a job at RC.......RUN the other way!!!!!! Don't look back!!!!

Unfortunately this is the general state of animal health sales right now. Most companies are doing a mad scramble for a piece of the pie, and forget about what gets them there in the first place. The rep in the field. You are spot on, most of these places used to be excellent employers and the job was enjoyable, now it’s just a freaking grind to drag your ass out of bed in the morning to deal with pissed off clinics and get your shitty paycheck.

Distribution is up in arms because of falling margins and competition, so they have tried to reinvent themselves as being the saviors of the clinic through technology. If you’re worried about technology, and retaining some semblance of a salesforce, really worry about VetCove and how over half of the clinics in the US currently are using that platform. That will definitely help bring about the demise of the distributor rep, which is on life-support right now anyway.

Life is short. Find something you enjoy and could make a decent living at and do it.

It is an absolute shit show now. Whoever kisses ass and lies the most wins now. Really a sad state of affairs.

All of the above posts are absolute spot on!!

It appears that we will have some answers to the "lay off" question in the next 8 weeks though. I love the tagline- there will be NO layoffs. Let's see if that holds true. I took this job to sell products, not peddle some other companies online software and worry about ridiculously childish KPI's.

Can't wait to escape this toxic, no upside company!!!!!

Yes, they claim no layoffs, and they're very well maybe none. But that is only because so many people quit this year. 27 open territories right now!

Just wait until we recover in 2023!!!! lol

Competitors launching new, unique diets while we talk about cat class and online pharmacy. What a solid strategy RC!!
