Only slow and extroverted people think ideas need to be bounced back and forth in person. Smart and introverted people can formulate their thoughts on their own just fine and discuss them with others on a call if needed. You don’t understand this because you’re in sales and your skill is talking, not thinking. Management doesn’t understand this either because they also are extroverts and only promote others like them. But our products are based on science and engineering and most smart technical people are introverts that may do better working from home. Nevertheless, our Type A bosses are happiest hearing themselves talk and having others there to fear, admire and present to them so we’ll all be back to the same old program very soon.

hope not. I’m in the field and been pretty productive, about as much contact with HCPs and offices as before covid. WFH is a good model if they decide to keep it going

Leadership better stay with WFH or many will not stay at Amgen. Train has left the station.

Don’t worry we are going to go all- in on the WFH model. Without the drive time or waiting room time we can increase territory size 5x. Save a ton on snack budget and the company car expense.

You guys know big pharma has been hiring WFH reps for years right? They are called inside sales and they’re contracted for 50k/yr. They stick to the script and we don’t have to worry about compliance violations like field reps get away with in-person. You better hope Amgen thinks your asses are “back in the field,” or you won’t have jobs at all.
