DH, BCBU manager from VA Beach, was the all-time worst manager in history. She’s now at Biohaven—aren’t they lucky. Interestingly, it looks as if she managed to get all the posts about her removed from CP. Knowing her, she probably called them and threw a nasty temper tantrum until they removed all the posts. She is a perfect example of how lunatics can somehow get placed into a management position.

You are pathetic. She has moved on. Why can't you? Stop being a loser, and get over it.

    Why bitter?

He did get one post removed from here though

what's sad is that this is not protecting the company, to allow egotistical/controlling/insecure/incompetent managers to drive off good people. they shouldn't allow managers to so tightly control performance reviews without more 360 input.

CV manager in the Carolinas has been allowed to do this for years and somehow she's still around. She may be on her best behavior now but it's just a matter of time, I'm sure. Shameful for Amgen leadership to just turn the other way while she's done this to many reps for years

This thread caught my eye. I don’t work for Amgen but I have worked in HR for a major pharma company. The comments on 360 reviews for managers was what caught my eye. First, let me say that they are a sham from start to finish, and the goal is to placate the people that work under the manager to make them think that HR is concerned about their manager’s ability to manage. What usually happens is the manager is tipped off by their manager as to who says what about them.

Take my advice and don’t ask for a 360 review or say ANYTHING openly negative about your manager. If fact, keep as quiet as possible. You will only be considered a troublemaker.

I tried that- it did nothing. When I went to HR they said it couldn't be anonymous and I declined to report because of that. He would have known that it was me and made my life a living hell. There is no way to anonymously report managers here- so they just get away with being awful and violating policies.

Yep I can back this up. I called that 800 number and was given the name of another HR rep which was the only way to actually report what my manager was doing. The HR guy... Rick... when right to the manager.

NEVER NEVER NEVER participate in one of these reviews for your manager. I did thinking it was the truth the RSD was looking for, but instead the RSD shared with the DSM exactly what I said and I had a target on my back. I am thankful that I had good numbers and I was not able to be touched.

The only thing I don't agree with this post on is your sales numbers. Even with good sales numbers you can still be a target.

MS in Austin is a low life. I have racist comments on a text thread he created, reported it to HR when I left and nothing was ever done or followed up on. I still have them saved. Amgen would be shocked if it got out but they disregarded it anyway

    agree!

if the mgr. doesn't like you, it doesn't make any different. The culture of bullying managers at Amgen is just wrong.

The fact that they rate us on 50% behavior is also wrong. Most companies do not have 50% of one's rating subjective. They can bully you by giving you poor ratings because they do not like you. 25% should be the max for behaviors.

Amgen wants it both ways. They say to get the #'s, but then they knock you down on behaviors if you aren't the favored one-regardless of numbers.

If it is so egregious, why are you not sharing the texts. Is it because you're full of shit? We know who you are. You were garbage then, and you are garbage now.
