amazing how this works. i was at a company they acquired in california. 3 months after acquisition all senior leadership changed, louis vuitton toting executives arrived with full transfers, bought homes, and had car services take them back and forth. not one had experience in the medical device sector, especially private pay structures...but they name dropped like crazy and had demands like rockstars. within 2 years, doctors stopped using the devices, the fda was inspecting, and 2 fda approval packets were halted.

but the executives got a free ride to bring their families to the beaches of california. j&j has so much waste that is hurting the bottom line. friends that still work there are busting their buts and keep heads down. amazing and so glad i'm on the other side.

Just gotta call from a recruiter. Another rare disease company is building a new sales force. DM's hired by 11/15. Reps hired for Jan training class.Reps need 2 years rare disease exp.

Higher base pay. High end fleet offering. Year end shut down. Real health insurance benefits.

Basically- a no-brainer to take the job.

Another wave of resignations are coming!

Exactly. Sounds like you and I are both at JNJ Vison. I got hired when it was still part of Abbott. I had worked for JNJ in the past and still had PTSD from it. Terrorist DM. I told myself that It would be different in another sector. Guess what. Completely wrong. Everyone is miserable. Lots of people making half of what they used to. Just did layoffs but Alex Gorsky made 20 million dollars last year!!!! All of us are working hard to get out. No job is worth this level of misery and insane stress.

And to add insult to injury, whenever J&J acquires a growing company, the growth disappears! Case in point, AMO is no longer growing at the clip it was growing while under Abbott's ownership.

Oh Actelion is making money. JNJ is making a mint on Opsumit & Uptravi. The executives & leadership are hauling in huge dough.

But the reps are getting the shaft. 90% goal attainment on a billion dollar drug that is growing double digits in a rare disease market. Record growth. Record volume. Lowest sales commission payouts in company history.

They tell us all the time about JNJ's love for Actelion "the most profitable division in JNJ. THE CROWN JEWEL!"

But- the 120 reps killing themselves to bring in those record numbers are getting the shaft with 50% payouts. Thats why we are filing out of here by the dozen. Everyone in the C-Suite is making huge money & we can't afford tuition for our kids.

Under the old Actelion- we rose & fell together. We were in it together. If revenue was down- we worked together to get it up. When revenue was strong- we celebrated together. Everyone shared in the success. Now they tell us how much we make them- while we get the shaft.

Yes, it’s the combination of arrogance and greed that makes JNJ special. There should be a paragraph about it in the crayon.

Show me another sales force anywhere in this industry that is bringing in nearly $2B with 110 reps?

And they arent paying us shit??

Just heard that they cancelled the MATT (our prez club) trip to Greece. Rolling us into the Jansen trip to California. Saves them about 60% on the trip. We worked our asses off all year for ANOTHER bait & switch.

Remember when the buyout first happened? We heard about how JNJ wanted to "learn about our culture" and "find out why everyone wants to work for Actelion".

Well- just two years later, JNJ has stripped away every last thing that made Actelion special. Our priorities were:
    #1 Our Patients
    #2 Our People
    #3 Our customers
    #4 Our Profit

    JNJ has reorganized our priorities
    #1 Our Profit
#2 Our patients (unless it impacts profit & if so- screw them)
#3 Our customers (unless it impacts profit & if so- screw them)
#4 Our people (unless it impacts profit & if so- screw them)

Exactly what happened with Synthes acquisition

Completely agree. JNJ killed Synthes corporate culture due to their only driving force which is profit. DePuy Synthes once again had another round of layoffs. It's like clockwork around here. Every 6 months another round of layoffs.

    Serge is gone.

Maybe a new leader will believe in profit sharing with the reps that generate the revenue!?

We only had about 70% turn over in the last 2 years. JNJ offers the lowest rep comp plan in rare disease. Recruiters know this. Makes us easy pickens for recruiters building new sales teams for start ups or new product expansions.

The revolving door just keeps on truckin!

Start up PAH company with new treatment pathway on pace to hire sales force in 2021!

At least 1/2 of us will jump ship for better pay, better benefits & upgraded fleet.

Taking away our Jeep Grand Cherokees and moving us into Chevy shit-boxes was the last straw. Especially because they insulted our intelligence by citing "safety" as the reason. The Equinox is a coke can on wheels. If we ever get in a collision with a Grand Cherokee- we're dead as fried chicken.

Typical JNJ. "We're going to trade you 20 one dollar bills for each of your hundred dollar bills. Its far better for you!! Your wallet will feel so much bigger & the less money you have- the fewer the problems! Money is the root of all evil so we're going to spare you all from the head aches that come along with cash. We're here for you! Always looking out for our people. More money in our pockets & less in yours is soooo good for you!"
