Don't know what point the original poster was intending but isn't it alarming that so many people are opting out of the draw for January because numbers are so low? We don't have real visibility on Cognos so we're making some blind assumptions but it's pretty apparent by the mass opt outs that most assume their numbers are going to be way below the threshold. We've been able to opt out in the past but to see so many people, including managers, means January is going to be fucked. No one wants to be hit with a payback in March. And word is that Meg isn't even looking to make anyone whole despite Covid still ravaging the country. 2021 is already shaping up to be worse than 2020.

Meg's doing the same. She's all happy that the company is doing well financially even though we're sucking in sales. It's because she's getting paid on both while we don't. 2021 is gonna be rough ride with that kind of mentality.

Hey kids, you're in a tough spot as a surgical rep if your best play is to bet against yourself...likely you're a C player which means you can't perform...keep watching Netflix, this space is not for you

This many people opting out of during the first month of a new commission year in an unprecedented pandemic needs leadership and guidance from the likes of Meg and Wil. What we don't need is your bullshit fortune cookie logic.

Why do people take the draw to begin with? Everyone so leveraged they need the $1500 (after taxes) to make it through the months?

Also, sales in 2020 were shit that's why trash reps made the short list for Salesperson of the Year. 2021 is going to be worse.

Not to argue, but the reason was bc it gives you some extra cash during the first couple months and at worst you are a little down when the dust settles....absolute worst. In most cases however, you would be caught up and then up some (hopefully a decent amount) when everything was reconciled.
Not this year..... blood bath... Guess it was really #BAX2021, not 2020 like we have heard for 4 years.
Thank you sir may I have another.... but for now, I will ;).

Hey kids, the good news is VAT/VAC is shut down everywhere until Covid ends which means J&J can't do conversions in your accounts. This probably continues deep into Q3. Now for the bad news. If you aren't needed to defend and you can't grow your revenue, what exactly are you being paid for. Reminds me of the movie Office Space. Are you the guy with the stapler sitting in the closet.
