first, don't listen to the disgruntled posts you see here. It's been a rough start at Harmony - a lot of broken promises or maybe expectations but anyone who came here should have known that anything could happen with a startup. The CEO is a decent man and that is most important next to who would be your RBD.

As for Xyrem - it's not the only competitor. There are stimulants, provigil, nuvigil and antidepressants that are all generic and required failures before wakix is approved....often two or 3 steps depending on the insurance which is why some territories are doing better than others. Sunosi has also come into play- look it up. Xyrem is a decent drug, costly like Wakix, but Jazz has been in this market for 12 years or more and they fly under the radar when it comes to following the hippa agreement, Sooooo, let's just say - they have really good relationships AND the drug works. It's a pain in the a$$ for patients but works well. The niche for Wakix is that it is not scheduled, is not the date rape drug, is dosed once daily and isn't a drink that tastes like ocean water.

this is a good gig as long as you don't get one of the horrible managers and/or a territory that has no coverage, which are many so far, but is improving as we go. Good luck!

Do not believe these goodie posts. The company will do this and that.
They will not. They are trying everything to keep the current sales force. People are quitting as soon they find something decent.
And everyone in leadership is well aware of this forum and make sure every negative post has a positive post.

I have 8 to 1 reasons why everyone feels cheated and is leaving.

Great drug. Bad company. Unrealistic goals. Poor leadership.

Most if not all regions will lose at least 1 more by end of March. West region will be hit hardest but all regions on track to have 40-50% turnover at the two year mark. Several of the recent new hires already are scrambling to leave. Can you blame them? Unfortunately, Company is not sustainable when 35-40% of territories are missing goal every quarter. Company hired great people and then beats them senseless if they miss goal and the reps making goal are watching the beatings and asking themselves if they are next which is why morale continues to be low. RBD’s managing by fear continues! Do these RBD’s think reps don’t talk to each other and talk across regions? RBD leadership is a real issue here or rather lack of leadership.

All leadership at every single level at this company are the worst I’ve ever worked for/with. Minus those in the top 15 doing well due to good coverage and one maybe two “champions” in their territories the rest would jump at a new opportunity. I agree many more resignations will come in the coming months and they couldn’t care less.

These aren't realistic rare orphan disease goals. Unless you have a handful of docs that are pressured not to rx too many scheduled products. Look at the states doing the best. They have the most strict laws limiting scheduled and controlled substances. Territories need to be bigger. Quotas lower. Then more reps will succeed and commit to Harmony long term. Until then they will be continuously fighting turnover

What are the benefits like at Harmony? Do they have parental leave?

Parental Leave? They just started matching 401k at 4%. Run. Do not look back.

    Who got $300, I mean $150 something.
    Another failed attempt to retain.

So you’re saying it’s Harmony’s fault you’re required to pay taxes on income? I’d be more afraid of the brains behind some of these reps than management.

Someone doesn't understand how taxes work

What initially was communicated was $300
And that’s how it was presented all along
No one shared for obvious reasons the terms and conditions.
Those of you making $200,000 and above surely won’t understand.

So how did you expect a publicly traded company to hand you over $300? Write you a check made out to cash, overnight you a stack, transfer it over PayPal? Uncle Sam needs his money too. You’re living on the moon if you thought you were gonna get $300 without someone getting their fair share too.

Taxes still need to get paid. You obviously do not get a full bonus check either cause OMG taxes. You think they can just hand out free money. Is this your first time having a job?
I do not even make six figures so again shows you know absolutely nothing.
