(Most) people not remote/field are being asked to move from S. San Francisco to Titusville, NJ AND make that decision within a month.

Guess how many will go? Guess how many will do work until whatever the termination date is. So much for the drugs making A BILLION DOLLARS.

This is the old IBM method. You work in NJ and one day you have a job BUT it is in Texas starting Monday. If you don't relocate we didn't lay you off you quit.

This along with the acquisition of synthes is one of the dumbest things j&j has done in the last 15 years. Shareholders will never get the return needed.

Yeah, J&J has made some acquisitions that you just wonder what they were thinking and who was held "accountable"?

Isn't Actelion the crown jewel of Janssen pharma right now? It's making a lot of money for JnJ.

Actelion IS the crown jewel of JNJ. We lead the company in profit.

As far as our SF office is concerned- it fits in just like everything else JNJ promised and lied about. At our first POA after the acquisition, there were all of these things said from the stage. "We can't wait to learn the Actelion culture. It is amazing that we will have a West Coast prescience. The Actelion brand is known as first in class."

They've killed the brand. Killed the West Coast office. Killed the culture.

The worst part- they're killing patients. Literally.

The best thing about the Actelion culture was that hands down- our patients came first. Above our team. Above customers. Above profit.

Now- everything is about profit first. The nation hasn't exceeded 90% of our Uptravi sales goal since JNJ took over incentive comp. That was 2.5 years ago. We have 35 sales aides in Veeva. They'd rather spend millions on that marketing crap rather than help patients who need assistance.

I've watched as patients that can't afford the $200,000 a year that our two drugs cost have their patient assistance cancelled over night. Patients that Actelion supported for years. They have a terminal, irreversible disease. JNJ tells them to go home and let nature take its course. Or cough up $15,000 a month.

I can't wait for the day that one of these patients ends up in front of a CNN camera. Or a congressional hearing. Then JNJ will do what is right. Not because its right. But because it will impact the only thing that matters to them- profit.

Yes, they read from those same index cards in West Chester right after the Synthes acquisition.

I'll bet you my next $68 quarterly commission check that we get rolled up into JNJ cardiology by the end of the year.

They'll cut half of us & eliminate the leadership team completely.

    More profit!!

Except the leadership team will know well in advance and have landing spots.

After the Synthes deal they did the same thing to the Spine peeps in West Chester (your job is now in Rayhnam). A bunch of people moved up there and many were laid off within a year. Should have done the right thing and just laid off the ones they didn’t want rather then letting them move first. What a disgusting place.
