If Osteocel was effective there wouldn't be people with Coroent XL's implanted without fixation who are still not fused.

There are people who are years post-XLIF surgery and still aren't fused. 2011 Medical Journal article saying almost 75% of all the old people who got XLIF died. If Osteocel was effective they would have fused and not developed complications....infections from the plastic spine spacer flopping around.

Everyone knows its been un-reported and covered up that so many people developed infections in the operated space after XLIF's without fixation. Those people mainly developed those infections due to fixation not being used to bolt the vertebrae together...and Osteocel's magical cells in the product failed to kickstart bone fusion.

There used to be very good monitoring by the FDA of people harvesting organs/cells/products from the FDA.......the news has been silent for years and we've not heard any stories of the FDA cracking down on companies harvesting things from the dead. I wouldn't get any product or organ harvested from a cadaver.

Osteocel did hit the market and used on people before it was recalled. .....They found the cadaver they harvested from.....was diseased with something really bad. Hepatitis wasn't it?

somethings wrong with that study. I dont think the time table is long enough. the number of deaths of the elderly with XLIFs should be 100%

    I am a patient
I have this product in my neck.
I had an anterior c-6/7 fusion at Kaiser performed by retired Dr. Van Petigham
My initial surgery failed due to antiquated material use and my MRI revealed “lucency”
I DID NOT KNOW he was using stem cells in my body. He really never discussed the procedure with me. He rescheduled telling me “too many people were dying from the product he was going to use”
One thing I can say is that anyone using only one bolt on top and one on bottom has no concept of building a solid structure. Obviously it’s going to “wobble.”
I went back in 2 years later for anterior surgery with Dr Stephen Riu at Stanford. In my opinion he did an amazing job also researching recalls. At that time my product hadn’t been recalled. Currently, I don’t know the status of 5013001/111880503
I am having a lot of pain again and physical issues
I have no opinion about this product except I believe, had I been informed, that I would have chosen the tried and true surgery like that of football player Peyton Manning as I have not faired so well.
    Advice?
