9 YEARS! Free for 9 years... I come back every 3-6 months or so to see what's up here at 'ol Sanofi. I hope things are better for everyone than they sound on Cafepharma. This site tends to be uber-toxic, but there is some accurate information at times that you won't get from your manager or from corporate. And I won't lie, there are many days I wish I never left, but the rate at which layoffs were happening after we started losing patent after patent was enough for me. I wish you all the best. Remember, especially you 30-somethings, you have to "stay green" and stay hungry otherwise you are going to find yourself 50+ with golden handcuffs or left with your hat in your hand when they eventually get rid of you. I am glad I left on my own terms. Be well everyone.

 

Over 50 with golden handcuffs=$125,000/year pension + Social Security and Medicare/supplement. Never lived so well.

Sanofi doesen't have a pension. They eliminated that in 2011-12.

You should try the Rachael Ray cat food. You think your eating gourmet food and what a money saver to make that medicaid money stretch a little back after 20 years of pharma where I was too dumb to participate in a 401k program but drove a nice BMW on the side and lived above my means for years. I love my life now although the housing project I'm living in has a great deal of activity going on at night with the pesky gunfire and swat team visits.

 

But the housing project cost pennies so YOU living the principles of living within your means.
