  1. Where to start, unfair, inconsiderate, etc.

Either AZ wants to screw us, Alexion exec don’t care or they are stupid....which is it?

OMG, dept Admin who has been here for about 10 years and prob makes < 1/10 of the VP only gets a few months and the VP who has been here for 6 months get a year? Typically it would take the VP longer to find a new job at the same level, but the Admin prob will also have a difficult time in the “new normal”. Unemployment stats show that unemployment is mostly comprised of lower level positions and hire level positions are more available during this pandemic (I’m an Exec Dir and I’ve gotten 6 recruiting calls since they made the announcement) Way to support the economic divide!!!

Most of the Senior Management and their friends haven’t been there for very long. Makes sense to find this model « fair » compared to one involving actual experience (and impact) within the company...

  5. Dear Mr. Tabangya,

This is the Astra Zeneca acquisition support team. Please rest assured that your concerns are important to us and will be considered as all Alexion employees are fairly and equitably integrated into our growing organisation.

    Sincerely,

    Hugh G. Rekshin

If you look at the history of AZ, you will find the severance package to be minimal compared to other companies.

6 months plus 2 weeks per year of service

And don’t forget the WARN act in relative states... requires 12 weeks notice of termination, or paid 12 weeks in addition to severance if 12 week notice not received.

No one cares about the WARN act dummy. Many loopholes like your brain.

There’s no loopholes in state labor laws, they are in place to protect employees, even you, the former B2B sales monkey, who will likely need another 12 weeks to find a new job.
