Upneeq (new RVL) and Visine LR/Oxylin?

Does anyone know the reason why J&J
Discontinued the Visine L.R. oxymetazoline Eyedrops if they worked and were a big seller OTC?

 

Not sure but warning on label of Visine L.R. drops was not to use more than 72 hours/ like nasal sprays....Upneeq is 30 day supply

 

Visine is a chemical! You people need to eead!

 

Visine is a brand name. BAK is a chemical preservative. Low sales reduced demand and manufacturing problems were cited as reasons for J&J McNeil discontinuing oxymetazoline eyedrops.

Most companies take prescription drugs over the counter to increase Sales Volume. Osmotica created a subsidiary Revitalid and the OTC oxymetazoline molecule in OTC Afrin and brought it back to a Prescription.
It should be no surprise that Sales Volume is decreasing. Even the articles DTC in Elle and Vogue are siting this and the "occasional use". A 30 -90 day supply could last a year. This was just a terrible idea

 

The volume did not warrant the cost of manufacturing issues

 

So now the 90 day scripts are out there Why are the numbers still bad?

What to do? Numbers are horrible overall. Even with all the new Sun reps. You know it's bad when 11 filled get recognition for the week. Curious, what is the actual goal here? We really do not have one.

 

The actual goal now has become to find a new job before the doors close for good

If you want some semblance of the truth listen to the earnings call with investors tomorrow 5/13 at 4:30.
They may try to sugarcoat it but BM and JDS are legally liable to be transparent with the first quarter results.

 

Brian needs to take the bull by the horns. He knows what's wrong here.
