Why are there so many openings? I take the drug and have done Pharma for 10 years and wondering why so many openings.

Pfizer just purchased Biohaven and many positions were put on hold during the transition period. Now that everything is integrated over, they can backfill a lot of these jobs.

wow, this is such a load of crap. A ton of people quit because the quarter was over and they had zero desire to work for Pfizer.

Lots of openings gives the illusion of a company in growth mode. It can also mean a bunch of people quit and nobody has taken the time to figure out if the territories should have been there in the first place and the position gets posted. Biohaven was ridiculous with the number of territories. 5 Reps to do the job of one.

Oh the hell with it….I’ll jump in this shark and troll infested thread.
    Why the openings?

    1. More boots on the ground Biohaven/Pfizer wants to continue to keep Abbvie in 2nd place
    2. Abbvie has pods of 3 vs Biohaven/Pfizer’s 1.
    3. Abbvie is losing in the tablet market for migraine treatment
    4. Abbvie’s Neuro team of newly hired uniform/copier/car rental folks just came back from their Anaheim NSM with a “destroy all competition messaging”
    4. Pfizer rather not pay those higher base salaries to the original Biohaven reps so…bring on the Latuda, Wellbutrin, Amgen, Abbvie displaced reps.
    5. The displaced high salary Takeda reps that got the job during Biohavens second expansion and because many inherited the 10+ year built up success of Lundbeck reps launching Vyvanse and Trintellix. They believe and good at claiming they are good at selling anything related to brain function.
    6. The other Biotec?Pharm companies and their new to the market CCRP inhibitors

I dont work for any of these companies or any competitor never applied to any of these companies.

I just listen to the Biohaven reps complain about not making the money they used to after the Pfizer merger.
I just listen to the Pfizer just happy to sell something other than what they currently sell that’s new and patients and doctors already want (commercials and the Kardashians).
I listen to the Takeda reps clumsily attempt to detail me, neurologist, a few psychiatrists and high volume PCPs the clinical benefits of Nurtec. The drug has already sold itself and it’s preferred on +90% commercial insurance. Just show up, no sales needed.

There's a big convention center out there, with hotels right across the street

Best place to train an army of reps. Pfizer favored it for years during the McKinnell days
