looks like significant cuts are coming to the US sales force as well as a change to the CCO.

    Allschwil, Switzerland – May 30, 2023
Idorsia Ltd (SIX: IDIA) today announced that Simon Jose will leave his position as Chief Commercial Officer and member of the Idorsia Executive Committee to pursue other opportunities. Otto Schwarz has agreed to advise the management team on commercial operations from July 1, 2023.

I don’t know just how much more that needs that be said.

The recent upper management changes should be a Captain Obvious moment.

Either you have eyes to see and sound judgment to think clearly, or you don’t.

Things are not, in any way, what we are led to believe.

it’s a start up company going through the growing pains. People aren’t playing nice in the sandbox and some are taking their ball and going to another sandbox.
And what were we led to believe?

i am yawning all next day after taking 50mg but even worse is the next-day headache I get from this med. It kinda works but not every night (even though I take it nightly) and the nightmares aren’t as bad as before. I’d give it a 4 out of 10. I don’t see how anyone would abuse it. There is no “high” or dependence that I’ve felt after months and months.

If you look on Isorsia’s company website, it actually states that the company is seeking more loans and that OPERATIONAL COSTS WILL BE CUT. Operational costs, in business jargon, are typically referring to overhead and people (salaries, benes). Syneos would fall under overhead and internal sales higher-ups would fall under salaried people.
Indicators seem to point to this company gearing up to be acquired. They may want to be bought out after all.

Of course they need to cut costs. You can't keep paying 400+ reps and 40+ mgrs $7+ million/mo. when Q sales are tracking at mere fraction of projection. I'm sure they weren't expecting this med to be profitable for years to come, but at this pace revenue will never overtake expenses. So expect big changes soon.

This is a decent med but their sales projections were beyond ridiculous and assured its failure. And if PT and JS were responsible for those projections then it's appropriate they get replaced.

Every rep I know did pretty much everything in their power to make this launch successful. The blame lies with leadership. Let's hope the get it figured out before they need to shut the whole gig down.

it was just a matter of time. Marketing and market access failed us. Nothing new to talk about. We spent 2022 pre launch talking insomnia when we should have been discussing the DORA class. We still have nothing in our sales aids discussing orexin except that it blocks overactive wake signals. Ship is leaning hard.

For what it’s worth, management specifically said, and I quote, we have 3XX territories , we will remain at 3XX.
Or in another term, we have the right number of territories . And no layoffs coming, we have right headcount.

Now, the other side of this is what do you believe? IMO managers are “in the know” only to a certain point. They have little or no say so in layoffs.

Take it for what it’s worth. But “not feeling it” that there’s gonna be the same amount of territories 2 months from now vs what there are now.

Yeah, let me get right on that. Layoff emails rarely come prior to weekend. MTW is the way to go.

We have the right number of headcount IF especially if you're a favorite.
