    The culture is gone!

At NBM and it is so sad to see what a shell of a place this has become. Morale is at its absolute worst. What has this place become when after a record year faced by challenges and adversity the welcome reception consists of food trucks? Company is being run by a bunch of clueless individuals brought in from other big med device companies and left over sycophants that treat sales people and the products they represent like commodities. What once was great is now gone in less than a years time frame. If you are thinking of coming over here to fill one of the many openings, think again! It will be one of your worst mistakes. Your compensation and the work ethic of the support staff you have to deal with are atrocious. It is not without notice that of all the “feel good” awards given out last night, not once was there a mention of the Salesforce. A Safety Award given to an internal staff group! Really??? What about the hundreds of sales reps that risked their lives every day entering facilities laden with Covid patients just so the same internal staff could continue to hide in their living rooms and unavailable by phone and email? It is clear that reality has been lost! The only focus of executive leadership is how to get to 1B in sales this year. It is apparent that leadership is trying to get there by squeezing every customer and expense cutting without foreseeing the future impact to sales. This is no longer a company focused on doing the right thing for customers or helping serve the needs of patients. It has become a company run by social activist with an agenda to promote their causes and tear down everything that has been built for the last 35 years.

Oh. Poor Rep. you are so brave going to offices during COVID…which ended at the beginning of 2021. Stop being a little bitch and pick another career path. Everything is always about Sales so STFU

Yes. That’s how this thing works. It’s supposed to be “all about sales,” what the hell do you think it is we do here?

We sell shit. We buy shit from Germany, sometimes it shows up and we sell it.

That’s 95% of it. But too many people focus on the other 5%.

I’m not a part of the good ole boys club, I’m not a new hire, I’m somewhere in between.

This place is a shadow of itself, and tbh I hope to be in with a new company by March.

This NBM all but finalized that decision for me.

this is exactly the problem with Reps as I spent 12 years as one. I am now in Corporate and this is what I’ve learned.
Reps are replaceable without any hiccup and very little disruption. In fact, you can be replaced by a Virtual Sales Rep or CSO at half the cost and there is very little drop off in Sales.
Home office folks cannot be replaced so easily. While Reps jobs remain exactly the same, Home office folks are taking on more responsibility and are asked to do more based on a shortage in employees and Corps need to save on budgets.
A rep can be up to speed, trained, and in the field in 3 months after hiring. For a Home Office person, this is not the case.
Both are important roles in an org, but there are fewer office folks that keep the company running where Reps can find temp coverage when a position is vacant.

you are replaceable. Even I am replaceable. It’s ok. Sales Reps have no real skills and you all know that. Where will you be in 10 years. Same job and same pay-bonus.
Why don’t you look at the number of companies laying off reps and moving to Contract Sales Orgs and different multi channel Marketing outlets. And try to keep your tears to a minimum.

I’ll be retired in ten years in my early 50’s . The only tears I have are from laughter from the all mighty office clown . People like the poster above is why storz is such a terrible place to be a sales rep. The back office support is non existent. All the woke propaganda is to make up for Karl storz being a literal Nazi

Retired in your 50’s!!! Now that is funny. This is new industry. All of the Reps that retired in their 50’s retired 10-15 years as they were on the front end of lucrative company bonus, stock and pension plans. Those days are long gone! You are sales through and through. Optimistic but unrealistic…and full of shit.

Wage slave is triggered. I’ve made monthly commission checks larger than your yearly salary . Go back to your cubicle and wait till you can leave at 5.

funny. I’ve never seen a top rep pulling in 6 figure commission checks trolling people on CP. you know why…because they are out selling. you will be replaced by a Virtual Rep. Remember this convo in three months. Contracts are already in the works.
