What a colossal waste of time sending us away for a week. What.. another excuse to listen to a bunch of empty suits make endless promises that never come to fruition? Rather, another opportunity for an adult, escape from reality spring break, free dinners and boozing until all hours

    And what's wrong with that?
Listen to the blowhards all day, party all night.

Yeah, an opportunity to flirt with some hot tail and watch upper level management do the same in hopes of scoring for the night

Looking forward to this meeting...we will have our make believe wonderful culture stuffed down our throats. Make sure you depart at 7:30 pm or later on Thursday so you can start your Memorial Day holiday. The asshole that stipulated that you can't leave before 7:30 pm will be wheels up much earlier in the day. It's the little things like that shit that add up when it comes to a culture. Put your people first and be considerate. Most companies don't give a shit so we are not much different...it's that fact that we make pretend like we give a shit that is the rub.

Sanofi thinks that their culture is wonderful too. Read a survey and don't be so arrogant when it comes to considering how to make the company environment better.

Listening to DR and MS read their slides was awkward and phony.

Watching and listening to a panel filled with scientists who are multi-millionaires reflect on their lab culture (way different and separate from commercial) didn't hit the mark. Bob T and DW the sole commercial people talking about science as a culture and applying that to commercial is ridiculous and not even close to reality. The reality is that the culture, especially on the Praluent side, is toxic and big pharma. The audience was bored, disengaged and uninspired. The culture won't change unless senior leaders change. Why not allow for more commercial representation on stage? Why not allow for FAQ time regarding solutions on how to make the culture better. These fuckers are all in denial that this somehow is a wonderful and special commercial culture. Culture starts at the top and you need to be courageous and listen to real feedback and commit to cultivating a truly special environment.
Rather then tell people about a supposed great culture, why not put your money where your mouth is and ask for real feedback from those who live the poor culture. Be open and make changes for the better. You would probably avoid more turnover that's going to continue to occur.

This thread should be on the Sanofi thread. Sanofi management does a great deal of talking about culture but still harbors hostile workplace for many districts. For starters every RBL should be replaced with people who are competent and actually believe in a culture change.

Stop your fucking crying and whining, you could be at Sanofi putting up with the same bullshit for 30% less money.
