Starting in May everyone using MOTUS reimbursement for vehicle option will have to use GPS tracking for mileage via MOTUS app which will automatically log addresses you visit and how long you’re at each address. Ummm….can we say invasion of privacy?? PFE going wild with micro management like never before!

It’ll save a lot of time besides, everything is tracked, anyway

You think that they dont know that the list below doesn't represent a "good day" for large number of us? This isn't micro-management. It's ensuring that employees actually make an attempt to do what our job responsibility requires.

    • 8:45 am-Full day Day Care drop off
    • 9:00 am-Starbucks visit #1 (personal)
    • 9:20 am Starbucks visit #2 (office coffee and pastry drop off #1)
    • 9:30-9:50 am Office sample check #1 and 2 of 5 of the day
    • 10:00 am-diner to start "planning for lunch" and the rest of the day
    • 10:30 am-last Office sample check of the morning
    • 10:45 am- 20 minute drive to Luigis to make sure pasta orders are already started
    • 11:20 am-leave Luigis (after yakking it up on the phone from the parking lot)
    • 12:00 pm-1:15 pm-Lunch with office staff /sample check #3 of 5
    • 1:30pm-2:00pm- Last two Sample checks of the day
    • 2:30pm Full day Day Care pick up
*Caveat/addendum: If manager is doing a rare field ride on this day, add another Starbucks run after you meet them outside of Luigi's. Also, add a 60 minute 1:1 "lunch meeting" with manager at 1:30p so that said manager can write off another 4 star lunch, and then head home after seeing us at one lunch office staff meeting and two afternoon sample drops

If this is a realistic day then we need to either cut head count or hold managers accountable.

Doubtful. Unenforceable. Just take 0 mileage.

KAM's need not worry - they are hard working and out in front of customers with high frequency. Just ask Katina :)

If I had 4 days like this a week a couple times a month, my manager would be thrilled with me.

Not to worry, as others have said, HR is too lazy or flat out incompetent to track anyone. It’s all about job protection. I tried to address a problem representative in primary care and you would have thought I was the problem because the representative was operating a doggy daycare during work hours. It truly was insane. I finally said F it. The HR woman called back asking if I was ok because I seemed to disagree with her opinion. It’s like living in a state that values the criminals rights more than that of the victim. Most managers have been beaten into submission as long as you do not do any so egregious they are forced to act like physically assaulting a customer or counterpart. Pretty much everything else is in play.

Sales and marketing are all tax deductible…

Pharma is a very profitable pyramid scheme. We justify head count on up to the top. Wink and nod to management and avoid HR.

Yup just got the email today. Talk about big brother at its worst. They don’t trust us and it’s pathetic. This will “GPS drive” many people out of the company. Man up PFE and trust your people. Stop treating us like kids! 27 year veteran and I feel like a child.

You’re a pharma rep. You and that child have the same lack of marketable skills.

Don’t take it personally, it’s just a legal and administrative way for the company to minimize risk and cost. Just do your job and forget about it. Yeah it kinda sucks but there are many things that do relative to the way things were 27 years ago.
