Dude. Just don’t ever tell your old company where you’re going and keep it off social media. If you’re uncomfortable, just lie and say you’re getting out of the industry or pick a company they couldn’t have a problem with and tell them you’re going there. When a new company asks if you have a non-compete say no. That shit hasn’t been enforceable for years, particularly for sales people because we don’t create anything and don’t know anything that Wall Street doesn’t already know. It’s nobody’s business unless you allow nosey people to cause you trouble

They can't and won't do anything. They may bark and growl, but they have no bite. The days of these sorts of non-competes being enforceable, even in states like Florida, are over. This is just another example of pure arrogance and outdated, old school mentality on the part of this company.

LOL - ppuuuullllleeeeaaasssseeee !! People what snot nose new grad sneaker wearing gel in hair support dog using puke new Arthrex rep has any relationship what so ever to be concerned about. The surgeon no more knows there name than he knows the checkout lady at Walgreens. Arthrex reps are great at calling 15 managers if another competitive rep is in the locker room changing. Then 24 managers show up to line the hall in case Hamas demonstrators show up.

The days of an Arthrex rep being able to move a large chunk of business to another company died years ago. Now this doesn’t stop another company flipping an account and hiring the rep to solidify the deal. That is where this thread topic has relevance.
