Might be better to keep them on during Field Travel. And don't forget to check under the seat the day before your boss gets in the car.

I don't work here but I caught this headline.

I had an ASSHOLE DM at another company. I quit. I found out that after I was gone for a few years that karma caught up with him and he has been out of work for 3 months and still looking. I don't believe it was a layoff because his position was immediately filled and the company wasn't doing layoffs. This was an SOB that would make anti-semetic remaks (my best friend is a Jew, so yeah I got offended...comments like "Oh his name is Goldberg...you know how those people are." I would say "no I don't tell me..." He would say that other people in the district thought I was weird, that I wasn't smart enough, thatI needed to drink to fit in...

So suck it ex DM, enjoy your long vacation. Prick.

Karma works in a mysterious way. Let karma work its magic and move on with your life.

I believe "they" will get a their fair share of the bad for the unkind and thoughtless things "they" said and did. You reap what you sow.

The difference between a pervert and a normal guy is self control. Check the law in your area concerning taping conversations. In Arizona I can record a conversation as long as one person in the conversation is aware of said recording...Me..I know...not the jerk I helped get rid of. I can't hook it to a telephone or hide it in a private office but I can bug myself. Total cost is about $100 at Radio Shack. I duck taped the mic to the inside of my shirt along the button area and placed the recorder in my pants pocket. Transferred it to a DVD and sent it to my project manager and program manager (I'm a contractor) I could have taken it to a lawyer.

At my company the DM has these clever little nicknames he has for employees who are minority, older, or who he suspects as being gay. He uses them so much that other managers use them too. Any recourse?

Except when it comes to retaliation against reps. Then the unwritten policy is leave them alone for 6 months while quietly setting up and documenting all errors or violations of policy, then fire or PIP.

"revenge is a dish best served cold"..... I thought it was Shakespeare, but that specific quote actually comes from "StarTrek: The Wrath of Kahn". there are earlier quotes that are close, ie, a French novel, translated into English in 1846 as "revenge is very good eaten cold"...

Gosh, don't you love all of us English majors!

Anyway, I have digressed before I have even started, if that is possible.

My point is this: You don't need to get anyone fired. It shows an ugly side of oneself. What you do need to do is to get someone else to hire them, preferably at another company. Call up recruiters and pass his name along when they ask: "Do you know anyone else that might b interested?". Tell other reps you have a great manager that is looking around. Speak very highly of him or her at meetings with other managers. Just get the guy to move along. it will make your day brighter.
If that all fails, then go ahead and give it the final shot: Sleep with them and head directly to myHRTeam with a tape or video.

I did this to someone who possed me off. I know he is gay; hence I signed him up on all these gay porn website with his work email address. It wasn't long this guy got canned.

I let my DM have a taste of my man-gravy one time. Since then, she wants it almost monthly and I really have moved on and I'm in a relationship now I want to keep. But every month-she wants more of my Man-Gravy. What should I do? I've told her I'm done with this - but she's so eager and willing...

give her a parting gift: Cut off your tiny, little shriveled up balls and mail them in a small envelope to her. She would appreciate it, and, since you haven't ever learned to use them, you won't miss them.

I think Glen Close said it in Dangerous Laisons. A John Malcovich movie. I probably spelled all those names wrong. LOL It was a great movie.

Yes either of these could work ... in a normal company.

First, getting them hired by another company: having Abbott of one's resume is a killer ... goes right to the circular file in most cases. Especially for a management position.

Second, sleeping around is not going to get a manager fired at Abbott ... and going to HR will get YOU on a PIP.

In fact sleeping around at Abbott wil most likely get you promoted. We all remember a certain female who used to work here and was promoted higher and higher because of this.

This shift leader at work is ALWAYS late and he brings Starbucks coffee as a way of convincing my boss not to fire him. He always gives me and everyone his "queenie" attitude. He wears slippers to work! Help! How do I get him fired?? He needs to go and now!

If you had a cell phone sticking just far enough out of your pocket or a small button sized spy cam and captured audio and video you could have had evidence for EEOC action BUT what
you describe in reference to mentioning of last name is NOT EEOC infraction if your boss displayed a swastika then they would have a case

If anybody is having problems like this DONT report it To HR Or any ethics committee
Who are (hr in disguise) Figure out the times and days when your boss does this learn the patterns of when it's done and have your cell or spycam running and ready Get just one
    video and audio, THEN
report it to HR BUT DONT tell them you have it recorded
Initiate an EEOC claim and provide THEM with video/audio and you will have a slam dunk case worth anywhere from 200k to Millions A person from Glaxo received $27 Million (few years ago) and a person from Hospira received $9 Million (this year)
