I am sorry for your loss.

I have no doubt that you received excellent service from your local CardioSom branch.

The problem with this company was never at the branch level. The people in the branches are the backbone of the company...the ones who do all of the work.

The problem with this company was and always will be the way it has been managed.

The problems are branch level too! When you have Branch managers not doing their job, it directly correlates to how bad the company is doing. The incompetent people higher up put incompetent people to manage the branch. It's sad that the other employees were who had to suffer. Those in the branches BESIDES managers were who tried to keep the company afloat-they were the ones who cared about their job!

The dire position this company is in is not because of 1 area! No sales growth, crappy marketing, no documents to bill, some branches and marketing, shady billing, corporate management, horrible business decisions and the vice presidents are a joke! I wish I made their money to sit around and do nothing, if they even come into work... Patient care is a top priority, but the business side of the company is sketchy at best. The major problem is no one seems to care about how to stay afloat except some on the business side of the business. It is hard to get anything to bill, maybe on the conservative side of how we should operate, but nonetheless, it is difficult to get everything, some at corporate, feel we need to bill. I have worked for other companies and have never needed to get as much paperwork to bill. I guess Cardiosom can at least tip their hats to that! Why try and stay afloat when you can have everything sit on a Hold report! We do our best and patients need and benefit from our services. Communication is crappy as well! All I ever see are emails that have spreadsheets about who knows what...Corporate, or at least my confirmation specialist, seems to know everything going on way before it is 'communicated'.

I really hope some of the management and people who actually do the work and take care of patients land on their feet!

For the rest of you losers, I hope you end up unemployed because your next company won't put up with your crap!

VP nice title to move them forward, but come on what did they do except relay issues. I really thought they were to grow the business. Well obviously NOT since they are mostly still there and business is and has been tanking!!!!

The previous post was spot on! All the Area VPs did was bean count - and act as a go-between.

Face it - when you have Area VPs coming and going (we had 3 different people in less than 2 years) - and one of them was a used car salesman - well, there you go!

where to begin?? I worked for Cardiosom for 3 years. I was proud to say that I worked for Cardiosom. Will we ever know the true story? Doubtful. I think their were some bad business decisions that spiraled out of control. The one thing that has irritated me the most is the non-compete situation for the Branch Mangers and Account Managers. Other employees have the right to leave a sinking ship but these people don't have a choice unless they want to constantly look over their shoulders. Management tells them that they will think about severing their non competes. How fair is that to people that have went over and above to do their jobs? This is something that Management does have control over. It's called a delete button and a shredding machine. Have some balls and do the right thing. Now all Acct Mgrs have been fired with one week severance pay and no payout on their vacation. But still the non competes hang over their heads even though they were released from their positions and Management tells them they will TRY to release them from their non competes. Boy, was I naive. I really did think that the company and VP cared about me. I won't make that mistake again. But wait, yes I will because I'm that kind of team player. Good luck everyone and I will miss the relationships I built with other employees and patients.

"Now all Acct Mgrs have been fired with one week severance pay and no payout on their vacation."

This is surely a signal that the end is in sight. No one out there growing the business is not a good sign.

Uh, come on people! CardioSom doesn't have the money to fight you in a court battle or legal case as far as the non-compete clause goes. GO GET YOURSELF A JOB will ya! THINK!!!! As far as everyone else hanging on.... RUN!!! And read your state's non-compete laws. CardioSom didn't do their homework when they wrote that clause in your contract. And there is no such thing as "competition" when they are really not in business!!! SO........stop being scared of CardioSom!!! YOU NO LONGER WORK FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO FEED YOUR FAMILY!!!!

So here we are pondering the future...........well lets' look at the past. The idea was insperational, the execution.......well....not "efficient" enough to produce a lifestyle that upper corporate was enjoying before the fruit was ripe enough for all to enjoy. LIVE, LOVE and LOVE again.....this too will be history and I wish all the best.

Learn and move on................If you make it to the alphabet level all I ask is look into your past and don't blindly move forward, because it easily happens with ALL good intentions.

Merrry Christmas alll!!! Yes Christmas NOT happy holidays!!!!

A word of advice to all soon to be former Cardiosom employees. RUN from the respiratory arena. This is a dying arena, get into something else. Try infusion, home health, something that is being reimbursed and has a future. If you haven't learned yet that this is not just something that is happening at Cardiosom, but Respiratory all over; you will find yourself in the same situation again.

Or you can go get a job at the only companies that will be left in the next few years, Lincare or Apria. Those are your choices!

Take this oppourtunity to build something. Why rely on others? If this experience did one thing it should have let you know you... yes you can build something on your own. Find a need, find a niche there is something out there that someone is willing to pay for and fill that need.

BM and AM you built something did you not? Microsoft was started during a recession by a college drop out. He did fairly well for himself. I personally am moving on and building a future for my family and more power to all that are willing to do the same.

    Best of luck to all!!!

I left the company a couple of months ago just after the Lincare fiasco. Can anybody tell me what's going on now? Is someone going to buy the company or what? Is there anybody left anywhere in the company. Looking for some good gosip :)

Friday was everyone's last day. Well, those of us who actually took care of the patients and kept the company running. There's a few left at corp, who are collecting and billing - once thats done, I suppose they will be out of a job then too.

All I can say is it was about time!

I have shut up since 2008 but have followed this entire debacle. Now that the company is dead I will break my silence. I was hired as one of the original start-up managers and thought I had landed into a dream job. I had great respect for Tim and Kevin. I truly believed in the concept of the company and team they had assembled. Unfortunately, they made some truly horrific decisions and hires over time. I was truly hurt when I was down-sized but in retrospect God was good. I hope the many good people who were left find places to land. I am probably not the only one but please know I did try to sound the alarm. No one would listen ... shout out to Ryan and Sharon ... I told you so, God help me I told you so.
