I guess it's possible but think it would be a real magic trick to get a regcognized, reputable player to buy and revive the business at this point. After all, current management hasn't been able to successfully steer the ship thus far, so why would one think they could negotiate a deal with a "real" company? Don't be suprised if they sell off the rights to the products they own--Definity, Neurolite and the Cardiolite & Technelite trade names and just make a deal for the site to someone that wants to run the cyclotrons. All the manufacturing lines, technical equipment, utilities and instrumentation can be disassembled sold to the highest bidder. The buildings can be leased by the new owners.

If there were to be any interest in buying the whole business it might come from a second tier player like Pharmalucence. If this happened, I think it would be run on a much smaller scale as a manufacturing site only and therefore be a much dfferent looking company than it is today...bye-bye Sales, Marketing, R&D, etc. etc. etc...

This group of management misfits couldn't even work a deal to sell the back 40 acres of land!

We are doomd as a viable entity!

The most unforgivable part of the current situation is that the supplier risks have been well known for years and years, but leadership was never willing to invest in mitigating the risk. I have personally heard leadership acknowledge the need to address these issues, going back 5+ years. So the current situation is not an unfortunate, unforeseeable event but the result of incompetent management. Glad they got golden parachutes while the rank and file gets cement shoes.

I completely back up your claim. The only thing I would add is that each time these types of issues came up in the past, Management looked for and assigned the blame to a scapegoat among their subordinates. Typically laying the blame on an individual or two that they already had in their crosshairs and using it as an excuse to drive a stake through the heart. I know of multiple occassions where hard working and dedicated people were blamed for problems they did not create nor able to correct because of Management's refusal to bring "bad news" to the forefront. Anyone that warned of problems was considered NOT a team player and delt with accordilngly. Baically the message from upeer managment has always been don't make me look bad by bring up problems that are too difficult to deal with--just be cheerleader and kiss my a**. Alternatively, the a** kissers could continuely f/u and management would sweep it under the rug. That's how we've gotten to this point. A sad state of affairs but one that has been totally predictable for some time now.

This used to be the greatest company to work for! Now the culture is completely gone and the whole company is being run into the ground. It is so sad especially for those of us who helped build it. Everyone who knew how to run this company is now gone. The few old timers left are not a strong enough force to make a dent in what has gone wrong. We all used to complain about "Corporate" but oh how I would love to go back to those days!!

Best that the fate of this now third rate company be done and over with. As painful as the thought my be, it's over and everyone needs to move on. Take the good memories with you and leave the betrayals of the recent years at the wasteland of 331 Treble Cove Rd.

Please spare me... the guy was promoted to CFO a year ago! He's leaving with plenty of cash & bennies...much of which he helped to screw former employees out of through his support of the company's "austerity" program. If he had any integrity he would have left long ago rather participate in the massacre which was engineered and carried out by the Leader(less)ship Team. The guy stepped aside so a financial specialist in liquidation could carry out and finish the grand plan. Yeah, I'm sure Gaffey is crying all the way to the bank! Wake up and smell the horse manure!!

So what's everyone now think about "corporations are people too" and "somtimes businesses must fail in order to maximize investors interest." It's a little different when it hits close to home and becomes personal. Welcome to the realization that you're part of the 99% and the 1% couldn't give a shit about you!
