Don't you mean Synthes Division of J&J?

Synthes that just sold for 21.8 Billion. Ah Linvatec can't even hold their jock..... Product Managers at Linvatec what a joke. Hire a guy with a Masters Degree that has no clue about Surgical Procedures, medical devices, the OR. Yes that makes sense. Don't hire people with experience in the OR, and familiar with the the products and services. What ever happened to hiring from within, and knowing the potential of personel already employed by the company. Think Quality is bad now. Wait until the Endoscopy products are moved to Largo..... Sell the products now because the Quality in Largo is terrible. Just get the product out the door and worry about the failures after the check is cashed.

The above poster asking about Dave Runyan........the guy is NOT a rock star. Any rep can go into any account and sell on price which is what he does. He will sell out anyone he can to cover his ass instead of doing the right thing morally but hey look who he works for. No integrity just like his distributor. I'd never hire him and he'll stay at linvatec and go down with them.

Again no integrity and you must be one of JP's lackie's sticking up for Runyan, stay with Linvatec and JP you'll go as far as he wants you to go while you pay for it.

Well that new guy probably works for less money since he is a couple of years out of college. So he must be better for thecompany, right? That's why we fire the Product Manager's who worked in the OR and R&D guys who had hundreds of OR cases under their belts. Now we have to explain to Linvatec newbies about cleaning and sterile procedures.

Single-use arthroscopy accounts for almost a third of the total Q111 revenues (sportsmed). The majority of the contribution coming from the SRS platform of products. Now the bad news, most of the marketing and engineer people originally involved with the development and launch of that product line have left the building.... not fired. Fortunately, we still have the engineer responsible for the poplok. Hopefully he will not be looking for greener pastures in the near future.

Because the poplok is such a great device..........................when are you going to get it about your SRS line? You came to the game way too late combine that with your shady business practices along with all your recalls this year alone and your dead in the water. Joke of a company.

I worked at this swamp for 10 years and the best day was the last day I walked out the door. I have never experienced such unethical pratices in my life. This company thrives on destroying the very souls of their employees. I didn't know such vile employment pratices were engaged. The pay was okay, the benefits were okay. BUT job descriptions were impossible to follow and make quality goal. Make triple goal and they love you, they don't care that it has to be reworked again and again. Quality was nonexistant. I have personally instructed my ortho to NEVER use one of their products on me. SB in blades always joked that rework was job security, no, race is job security and not for long. They produce garbage and deserve to fall!

Actually post #51 is right; the remaining management at Linvatec are exceptionally shady. I'm approaching 10 tears here and I am looking forward to working for Arthrex one day. I just have to figure out how to get out of this new non-compete contract they demanded that we sign within three hours or we would be walked out of the building. Not worried too much, I'll be leaving with a truck load of Confidential info for insurance.

Your employees are tired of the fiction that you are spinning as well. Global leader by 2013....BULLSHIT! The only hope we have is that this second rate, parasitic, clueless, and criminal leadership team gets the boot before its a lost cause.

The only pepole who put on a happy face are the cronies around the penguin. Talk to anyone else and the future looks bleak. People are being treated terribly, the majority of the sales force is realizing that management couldn't care less about them. In fact thinks of them as cheaters and liars and sees them as a necessary evil. What an environment to nurture excellence.

Fictional posts?? So, you're saying that we weren't threatened with loosing our job if we didn't sign the new non-compete within three hours? I just wish that I were one of the smart ones that refused to sign and moved on to better companies; you know the real "industry leaders"! My friend, you are the one living in the fantasy world.

You have personally instructed your ortho to NEVER use one of their products on me? What? Okay so I take it from this that you injure yourself every other weekend and have surgeries twice a month or so. Oh and why do you need to tell your Ortho this in advance? Are your ortho injuries so life threatening that you are usually unconcious and unable to speak for the weeks before the operation occurs?

This is true!! I was forced to sign a no compete clause in 2010. I was told that if I did not sign it, I would not receive a pay raise and I would be escorted out the door at some date in the very near future.
This is all because when a product manager was layed off in 2010, BA, he held a patent for an item. When he left, he took the rights to the patent with him. Linvatec now has to pay him a roayalty every time the item is sold. Guess who is covering themselves now?

The noncompete agreement exempt employees were forced to sign or threatened they would lose their jobs is illegal as you signed the document under duress. It will not be upheld in a court of law. Hopefully you kept a copy of the signed noncompete as well as the email instructing you to sign or risk losing your job. Shady people are at every level in this company. Watch your back!

All instructions were done in person, no e-mails. They covered themselves on that one.
You better believe I have a copy. When I signed the paper, they were warned that this was illegal and no company can deny you a right to support yourself. They did not care.
And, there are shady people everywhere, the biggest one has been there for a couple of days in a row.
