    Stop overreacting guys!

It is for one year, which in the grand scheme of things is a blip.

We will be steaming ahead again after 2014 once the new biologicals start coming to market and when we start beating our competitors assess.

Look out novo, look out pfizer, we will rise soon and when we do we're coming after you!!

All you have to do anymore to be a CEO is say dumbshit like that and never accomplish anything. Then, cut people as needed. Blame the workers.

You are OUT-OF-YOUR-MIND if you think Lilly's biologicals will save the day. You must be listening to Bumol and his hapless followers. Which biologicals are those, specifically? The anti BAFF which is already sold by GSK and they get all of about 100 million/year? How about the anti-IL-17 which is behind three competitors? Oh, OK, you must mean some of those "bispecifics" ...dumbest idea yet, these have not even entered the clinic. The Amgens, Biogen-IDECs, and the rest of the real biotechs are laughing at our biotech pipeline.

They don't want employees. They only want contractors and visas.

Dulaglutide is set to be a billion dollar a year drug pretty quickly post approval. It may not be first to market but it's phase 3 data shows that it is a better drug than those currently on the market. I expect this drug alone to become a 2 or possibly 3 billion drug over time. Indeed some of the other diabetes candidates coming behind it are even more impressive ( notwithstanding that there will be failures among these)

Then there are the other phase 3 candidates including sola...I know some will say this is a blind alley but I am of the opinion that it will get approval once the pending new trial. That will be a first to market drug and generate....hell you probably couldn't put a value on it as it would be huge.

Then further out there are the cancer candidate mabs

The sky isn't going to fall in!!

I want what you are smoking. I bet you believed them in the past when they kept repeating the mantra, "We have the best pipeline in the industry."

The sky is not falling, because THE SKY NO LONGER EXISTS in Lillyvalia. Get. Out. Now.

Llyberalism: Deny that fairness, logic, reason and even success are open as options. Then, disappointment disappears overnight. As should you, assuming you desire a viable future.

Sorry I think you meant enraged employees

How long have you been at this company? Were you here before Year X and the years after it? You have to realize that this company hasn’t truly recovered since Year X. Yes we had 2 drugs that brought billions to the company and yet we have very little to show for it and now in Year YZ there have be massive job cuts, salary freezes and bonus reductions just to keep the dividend going up and keep investors happy.

The magical pipeline hasn’t produced much of anything; instead we have had many late stage failures and dug Lilly further into a hole. We bought ImClone and haven’t gotten much from that or the other companies bought.

You need to understand that this time next year there will likely be another “wage freeze” on top of the already announced bonus reduction in 2015 because the pipeline isn’t going to make up for the over 20% profit lost. Sometime there will be further reductions in employees as well ... at least in the US.

And don't forget the bazillions they had to pay to keep JL out of jail during those years when cash was coming in. Not to mention the training crap we all have to go through because of it.

If things are as bad as some believe here re the pipeline then why is the company building facilities for the new biologicals?

Lilly invested a TON in the amnesty bill. They are hoping that the bill passes. They will need a place to put all those Chinese scientists.

I can't believe my pay is frozen. Living thru 2013 on $15 million was hard enough. Having to go thru 2014 without a cost of living increase is just insane. We need more six sigma programs to find enough for my 25% cost of living pay increase. $JL$

I was an American FDE in LRL. I was done at 3 years. The Chinese stayed (In my country). There is an institutional belief at LRL that anything Chinese is better. It's a fool's wish.

No, see, those are called "One Time Events" manipulating GAAP rules in order to hide and dilute earnings so as to further bamboozle and mislead moron investors as to the truly sorry and dire nature of the sham financial guidance given to Lemming Street parasites.
