Default RANDOM THOUGHTS FROM DALLAS, TX

Just a few thoughts from the NSS meeting in Dallas...

If Abilify is going to make $5.3B this year, can't they give us more than the leftover Halloween candy? If you pair this with the cellblock look of the meeting rooms, it was a little like being in County Lock up. 3 squares and a cot may be good for a homeless guy, but I was thinking something a little less...."utilitarian."

Can we eliminate the inside jokes to the right-front corner of the room? I appreciate the fact that you all spend every waking moment together, but the other 500 people just don't get the joke.

Also, what in the hell is up with Beer and wine? Is this a cheap wedding? Every night, beer and wine. Again with the 5.3B. Can't Cornelius cough up a million to truly treat the moneymakers the right way?

I thought the fitness center was fantastic. Next meeting let's put a treadmill, a recumbent bike, and a yoga mat in my room and all 500 of us can workout there.

I like Johanna and Kevin a hell of a lot better than I liked Bitetti. That vile scad can collapse in a heap on the floor and I'd grab a cocktail and a lawnchair and enjoy the show. Although, Mercier ends every sentence like it's a question. Which makes me wonder if its a habit, or an insecure woman seeking approval. I haven't made up my mind yet on that one. But she was dancing on Tuesday night so I gots to give some props for that.

All-in-all, my biggest bitch is that the rhetoric doesn't match the actions. They continue to tell us that we are superstars and wonderful, etc, etc. But every meeting has less and less to offer. Treat us better than this, we've earned it.

I'm going to preempt the choad that always scolds me for whining by saying, "Yes I am whining." I've finished in the top 15% for 3 years now and am only getting a 2% raise? All this while the CEO rakes in 20M? Not right.

Here goes CapTwat once again. Telling us in one breath how great this career is and then bleating like a stuck pig in the next. It's called capitalism you jerk and thats why you deliver Pizza while Cornelius kicks back with a Manhatten.

Please go away you prole

I'm just curious, do you have even an inkling of a life? You're on this board all the time! I think you're obsessed with me. Would you like me to send you a picture so you can think of me in the bathtub?

Again, "Captwat" is childish. I am impressed with your use of the term "prole", it shows that you can read. Seriously give the boards a rest. Your Dungeons and Dragons is waiting.

Don't stop now CP!! I really enjoy your musings. I too thought the meeting was a joke. Taking a bunch of sales reps and sticking them in a cell all the while looking at a computer screen while a speaker goes waaay to fast to learn anything was incredibly ridiculous. What I liked was when all they did was talk about MDD and the benefits we can offer that but barely touched on the pediatric indications and what that can do. The PFS role is a joke and my guess is won't be around for long. I'm also tired hearing about the HUGE contribution we make to the company and then get shit on by management. Does the loss of the merit increase piss me off? Are you fucking kidding me. 2% is nothing. Plus by the time Obama gets thru with his shit that 2% will be gone in an instant! What pisses me off is on one hand they tell us how good we are and the Top Brass rake in millions while the peons take it up the ass! Thanks BMS for the wonderful ride!

Keep em coming CP. I liked the way you called Bitetti a "vile scad". So true. We haven't been blessed with good sales leadership since Dave left. How would you rank them since?

There were pros and cons with all of them. But if I had to rank them it'd be like this.

Whitehead would be at the top although he often got weak kneed when it came to going to bat for us.

I'd have to put Trapp at number two. Maybe it's the Bush-Obama paradigm in that after Bitetti, Caligula would have seemed like a step up. But I've talked to Kevin a few times and he's seemed real.

Mercier is moving up in my book. She is number three but closely approaching Trapp. I seriously think she was blind-sided by this merit increase announcement. Try to look at it from her point of view. The Execs totally hung her ass on the line and didn't give a shit. Which just goes to show how out-of touch the Execs are from the rest of us, including the VP's. Only goes to foster a worker versus mgmt environment.

Bitetti - I really can't say enough bad things about this woman. Pretentious, self-righteous, cold, blue-blood, East coast, elitist, who has probably kept her shirt on during every intimate moment she's ever had.

So there is my ranking. But it is truly all for naught, because when October rolls around and the next round of layoffs hit us, those who survive will get a VM announcing the promotion of Murdo to Global something, Kevin to Murdo's post, Mercier to Trapp's spot, and me to Mercier's position. HA! God help us all.
