you know - when first I read this post, I disagreed with it. I thought laptops are fine for reps and the desire for ipads was just a gotta have.

But then I completed KIT q training and began using laptop in field. OMG - it's slow, heavy and not easy for rep to use or customer to see. At a lunch with several docs - disaster. Mac/appl is faster and may be more useful - period.

As far as apps are concerned - certainly an agreement with manufac that would ban apps could be put into place.

Yes OP, I'm with you now

Technology is one area we can't keep up with. What other areas can't we keep up with?

Do you really want someone in the home office to "find my iPad" with 3G GPS tracking capability in 'real time' on Google maps? Or track your average highway speed??

Try it with your iPhone sometime. Scary.

Pfizer Animal Health has already rolled out iPads to the reps. They love not having to carry around a thick detail binder. Entire selection of sales aids on the iPad.
