Lyon under the lens
You brought this on yourself with your demeaning attitude towards your peers and the employees that are unfortunate enough to have to report to you. Your region ranking is a reflection of your management skills in Merck, least valuable.

I am having trouble keeping up with his escapades. His threads disappear and even more seem to pop up. It must be a true testament to his lack of management skills, his lack of people skills, and his lack of knowledge on the vaccines he is in charge of. Just the type of person who is now desired in MVID.

When those who lack the intestinal fortitude start to speak-up only then will we have real change at this company.

It must come from later or above, not below. Let his region's performance do the talking. Interesting to see if they dumb down his objective for this year. We hope not.

It must be nice to get a job because of daddy and not care that we all smirk at him as that is more respect than he deserves. His vaccine knowledge couldn't fill a 3 x 5 index card if it was only able to be written on 1 side.

That's why just about everybody hates him because he only cares about what comes out of his mouth and nobody elses. Besides bragging about himself constantly and telling anybody who will listen that if you do things his way it will be so much better, he has no problem dumping projects and meetings on other people while he goes on vacation. This fraud took at least four vacations last year. He tries to act like he is such a work-a-holic but all he does is dumps his dirty work on other people regardless of what they have going on and hold people hostage with his diarrhea of the mouth. Everything about him is crap and he needs to be flushed away.

The reason he dumps his work on others is that he needs it done correctly and he has no clue about it thus give it to someone else. If it is good, he gets credit. If it sucks, he blames the project doer. He wins either way.

What is the point of having a micro- managing director and CTL's that do not manage but amplify Tom's ridiculous strategies? You could save money by eliminating the CTL's and have Tom ride with everybody which he wastes company money doing anyways or eliminate Tom and have the CTL's report to Todd or the marketing teams so they can regurgitate their agenda. Both sets of management are not necessary because they bring no extra value. It's just a bad echo of counter productive jargon that doesn't help sales.

Now we have an idea for the next thread if Tommy Cryin' Lyon sobs to CP to take another thread down. If he would treat people with respect rather than bully or dishonor them, this all could possibly stop.

Tommy Cryin' Lyon needs new business cards- instead of VP or Master's Club, "Last Place Club". Fifth place- I want another region or same region but another director!

His teleconference this morning was hysterical. Every vaccine is a priority and an emergency so have a complex business plan to execute all of these vaccines at a marathon pace. Everything is a crisis with him down to the most mundane and trivial detail. He definitely needs to see a shrink ASAP!

If that is an example of Merck leadership, I would rather retreat and regroup (or be shot). His qualities are questionable at best. He is all slogan and cliche and no performance. Take away his cliches and he is just an impotent bully looking to push someone under him around. Unfortunately there are many under him right now but hopefully not for too much longer as his sugar mama is finally gone. The saddest thing is that the people under him know more than he does- he just happened to know the right people to get where he is, no earning involved.

In all of my 18 years in vaccines, I have never met a person who wasted more people's time with inconsequential minutia laden meetings that do nothing to "realistically" impact sales than Tom Lyon. There is a reason why he has so many threads about him. It literally only takes five minutes before a sane person can figure out he is one of the biggest self trumpeting pathological egotists that shows little regard for other people that you will ever meet. Thank God I am retiring this year so I will never have to deal with that deplorable excuse for a human being!

What's do you know? Is his job on the line? If so, that would be interesting. Wait, that would be completely AWESOME! This guy is not cut out for sales or management. His ego gets in the way of everything he does. He should be on Wall Street. He would fit in with those nut job narcissists trying to make money at any cost and to the detriment of others. He would be perfect for that role.

That sounds like a great idea- the next time the midwest has a region meeting, if Tom V is still in control, we should all receive them-
Tommy Boy- He can't afford another V AND NEITHER CAN WE!!
the bumper stickers will be handed out by the ROA when we register for the meeting packet.

Do you think his ROA will hand out a book of corporate jargon so we can keep up with all of that jibberish he and his S3's like to puke out at the meeting. I can barely understand what they are saying most of the time.

Just sharpen your pencil and every time one of them walks by you at a meeting, jab them with it and quickly drop it and walk away. They will look around but have no idea who did it. Or just read up on Barlett's quotations so every time a phrase is thrown at you, throw one right back at them.
