I know, right! Shouldn't be anymore than an hour long conference call, but the homeoffice personnel who didn't get laid-off at Thanksgiving need to prove their worth with a parade of painful presentations.

Another example of poor decision making and a useless use of resources. This meeting should be three days MAX with a half day for travel. So I guess 2.5 days MAX!!!! What are these people thinking?!

What else does senior management have to do these days? You'd think they'd have their hands full trying to fill a NSM week with nonsense. Maybe, they can burn an hour or two spinning the conference call from earlier this week.

Agreed. How does everyone know about this situation in Cali? How can something so confidential be such common knowledge? Scary that management couldn't keep this under wraps.

You are such a moron! The story is very very true. She is FF and if you don't know her, then look her up on the company internal website. She had another job offer and met with RSL and they gave her a significant bump in pay on her base to stay. EVERYONE on her team knows this. RSL and her are good friends and they didn't want to make waves and create hysteria amongst everyone else.

Somebody on Yahoo Finance does not like reps and doesn't think you are needed.

"- 1900+ FL ( formulary job finished ).....
- 200-300% sales up from last Q...
- new Baxter plant ready to go ( that was the reason for last PP )....
- BMY Italian plant ready to pitch in if demand goes nuts......
- 1/2-2/3 of reps will let go, unless new product in pipeline.....
- cutting cost, giving estimates for sales and profitability date...."

1. Is there a test day one?

2. Are we roll playing?

3. Is there a riff underway?

4. What hotel are we at?

5. Do we have roommates?

6. Are we getting new SCRuB outfits personalized?

7. Do we have to wear SCRuBs at ALL functions?

8. Team building night Dave and Busters SD ?

9. Are 48 being riffed without the WARN disclosure?

10. What hotel in San Diego the Hard Rock?

When do we get paid Q4 commission? When do we get our options for being top performers? What is the vesting schedule? If I quit shortly after I receive options do I get to take them or a percentage of them with me?

I think a lot of people are thinking the same as you. Unfortunately, with this outfit no one would get anything after you quit. The options are not worth anything anyway. For the top winners, no one wants to go to that Hawaii trip anyway. Who would want to take a vacation with their managers and RSL? That's a prize? No thanks. The prize will be getting out of here.

Hey, what is with all of the complaining.? I haven't been on this board for several months, but I just made a nice $15,000+ bonus for Q1. If you are working hard and smart, there is plenty of opportunity here to make money. Sales of Ofirmev are going to continue to grow for several more years. I'm planning on making plenty of bonus this year and next!

You can make $15,000 in bonus at lots of companies. Plus, ESPP, 401K, great health insurance, etc. I don't get the excitement.

In 20 years as a rep, this job is the first time I have ever posted on cafe pharma (not even sure when this site began). I can accept everything -- no car, no 401k, bad healthcare, etc -- what I can't accept is the way my manager treats me. His behavior is completely unacceptable--some of it illegal--and this company allows it to continue. This site allows me to vent until I get another job. I have been ranked in the top twenty percent since launch, and he still treats me like a piece of crap.

There are unhappy reps everywhere. No doubt. However, that doesn't change what this poster said:

"You can make $15,000 in bonus at lots of companies. Plus, ESPP, 401K, great health insurance, etc. I don't get the excitement."

This post doesn't seem disgruntled at all. Just factual.

But those companies aren't offering "the opportunity of a lifetime" like Cadence Pharmaceuticals.

Oh, it's been a "unique" opportunity alright...one out of 150 reps hit your 39,000 goal last year, company has had highest turnover of reps I've ever seen, management completely positioned product wrong even though they had an extra year before launch to "profile," stock is in the toilet, good old boys management team have no idea how to sell and yet they try to micromanage the reps who do, a hostile work environment, no 401k match, declining health benefits, etc, etc, etc.

Everyone take a look at the Q3 ranking report and figure out what the "average" rep made for the quarter? I promise you that it is not even close to $12250. What's sad is Q4 will be even worse! 35 cents per vial - R U KIDDING ME?????

not sure what the excitement is about. company stated annual goal bonus to be 45k and after 3 qtrs that trend rings true. q3 goal bonus was below 11,250 but q 1 and 2 were above. by the way that would be 11,250 a qtr not 12,250. so far it seems like the 45k is right on target. your error is the qtr avg calculation and also qtr avges will vary but the annual bonus goal should be reached or exceeded for top 68 or so reps.

bring on the complaints as handle them everyday from pharmacy but they are worse

You are correct, everything is fine here at Cadence. The only people who are quitting are those that feel guilty for making so much money for selling Tylenol.

Penny stock = A common stock valued at less than one dollar, and therefore highly speculative.

We're heading that way, dipping under $3.00 today.
