Let's all admit it. This job sucks plain and simple. The only posts that negate those feelings come from management and a few extreme brown Midwest that were blessed with great territories. And this is coming from someone that has always been in the top 20. Certain reps that we all know are just as fake and phoney as the managers. Look at the facts such as this company is not a true pharmaceutical or biotech company. They purchased a drug big deal. There is no R&D department, no 401k match, medical benefits are the worst I have ever had, no fleet car etc. The stability and future is always in question as well. And i agree with the other comments, there are plenty of other companies paying just as high bases but then have the security.benefits, and experienced and professional managers

A bit shy of $20k per quarter, but $15k per quarter is a conservative bet. How could you not give Cadence credit? $120k base + $60k bonus!!! This is great.

Ummm I am not the original poster, but there are plenty of companies that will pay that if you have a great track record such as Acorda, Amgen, Genzyme, BMS, BI, to name a few. I don't know what rock you live under, but generally speaking someone that has several years of excellent sales and awards commands these bases. I just had a friend get a 132k base from a company that many would consider big pharma. In addition, they received a great benefit package, 401k with 10% match, fantastic insurance, and an SUV for a fleet car. Way way better than this crap hole. Perhaps you don't command that kind of base, but many do.
