Hey, wait a minute. They won't lay me off. It's not my fault all the good people left!! Oh wait it is. But it wasn't just my lack of recogizition of talent, the company is going down the tubes. They were smart to leave, and the laid off one were lucky, they got a severance to boot! Yes , there are good people left, but they can't possibly care at this point. Sure, I could have laid off my " moly expert", or the most frequent butt hut visitor, but then who would use up the travel budget and who would make me feel wicked smart?? It's really not all my fault, just a bit. Isn't it HR who is supposed to retain key talent, hire good people, and inspire the masses? I am just one man!!!

Nah. We won't see more layoffs until they start the actual dismantling of the company. Their to thin already and even they know it.

Im not defending them. But their isnt anything left to cut.

I agree - the only people left to to layoff is the cafe and they aren't even LMI employees. The MSEC kids are also in the cross hairs. FU AVISTA! DK - rot in hell buddy!

Banghead Re: Lantheus Medical Imaging

Sounds like the losers running Lantheus in the ground...And for all you dick suckers at lantheus GO TO HELL AND ROT!!!!
10 signs for spotting a sociopath
#1) Sociopaths are charming. Sociopaths have high charisma and tend to attract a following just because people want to be around them. They have a "glow" about them that attracts people who typically seek guidance or direction. They often appear to be sexy or have a strong sexual attraction. Not all sexy people are sociopaths, obviously, but watch out for over-the-top sexual appetites and weird fetishes.

#2) Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people. They tend to do bizarre, sometimes erratic things that most regular people wouldn't do. They are unbound by normal social contracts. Their behavior often seems irrational or extremely risky.

#3) Sociopaths are incapable of feeling shame, guilt or remorse. Their brains simply lack the circuitry to process such emotions. This allows them to betray people, threaten people or harm people without giving it a second thought. They pursue any action that serves their own self interest even if it seriously harms others.

#4) Sociopaths invent outrageous lies about their experiences. They wildly exaggerate things to the point of absurdity, but when they describe it to you in a storytelling format, for some reason it sounds believable at the time.

#5) Sociopaths seek to dominate others and "win" at all costs. They hate to lose any argument or fight and will viciously defend their web of lies, even to the point of logical absurdity.

#6) Sociopaths tend to be highly intelligent, but they use their brainpower to deceive others rather than empower them. Their high IQs often makes them dangerous. This is why many of the best-known serial killers who successfully evaded law enforcement were sociopaths.

#7) Sociopaths are incapable of love and are entirely self-serving. They may feign love or compassion in order to get what they want, but they don't actually FEEL love in the way that you or I do.

#8) Sociopaths speak poetically. They are master wordsmiths, able to deliver a running "stream of consciousness" monologue that is both intriguing and hypnotic. They are expert storytellers and even poets. As a great example of this in action, watch this interview of Charles Manson:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIfGj_55FHI

#9) Sociopaths never apologize. They are never wrong. They never feel guilt. They can never apologize. Even if shown proof that they were wrong, they will refuse to apologize and instead go on the attack.

#10) Sociopaths are delusional and literally believe that what they say becomes truth merely because they say it! Charles Manson, the sociopathic murderer, is famous for saying, "I've never killed anyone! I don't need to kill anyone! I THINK it! I have it HERE! (Pointing to his temple.) I don't need to live in this physical realm..."

Don't kid yourself. They'll slash, burn and pillage at a moment's notice. What you call dismanteling they'll call consolidation or austerity which is necessary for the company to survive and keep "our dedicated workforce employeed". Not even the drunkest kool-aid-aholic believes that now. Everyone is sleeping with one eye open beacuse they know they could be next to be rounded up and tossed out at any tiime.

A venture capital company strives for thin, but I guess they also like to pay people to not work which is what is going on right now. Great business model.

all smoke & mirrors. they're just hanging on in hopes a buyer comes along and a deal can be had. in the meantime keeping up appearances is the plan for the moment. that said, deal or no deal, expect all hell to break loose within the next six months.

How "fine" was everything when you were there a couple of years ago? Do you really think it possible that the events of the last couple of years have resulted in making everything there "fine"? Maybe if fine is Fu_ _ ing Impossible & Nasty Empolyment.

Fine works for those who are not working and laughing about it. In house employees have it bad, field employees who get cars, gas, cell phones, etc. paid for (much of which is for personal use) plus some nice salaries and bonuses are happy to be "fine".

If the place is so good 1) why did you leave "happily"? 2) Say that it’s "too bad" for your friend????? What’s your opinion.. not your friends? Do you actually believe him or did you both drink from the same Avista cool aid stand....the place compared to its competitors is a dinosaur after thought.....fallen way behind...innovation and investment in business processes and drug discovery in order to stay competitive in the market place???? has never been in thier vocab....to busy doing the following: put all thier eggs in one BVL basket....in licensed and paid for a product that had a black box....never re negotiated pricing with cardiolite, technelite customers especially with Cardinal after patent exp....created and fired two VP positions within months....instead of being proactive and requalifying alteranate suppliers for thier key products...they secured Moly supply????? which is important but again you still need to look ahead for your "Whole" pipeline

There are some huge turds (and a little, teensy one) that need to be flushed, this time around. They have been stinking up the place for quite some time now.

Its a numbers game now. LMI is over levereged with debt that was taken on to pay off Avista its return on investment plus 20%...sweet deal. Once incoming revenues can't keep up with owed debt payments they are done. No one will lend them any more money and they are deperately trying to unload the company before it becomes worthless. Look for drastic measures in an attempt to stay afloat. LMI may have more of its 9 lives left in it, but like many of its former empoyees, many current employees don't and will soon find themselves tossed out.

Failed dismally at the promise of restocking customer shelves, more BVL issues, dismal sales of whatever is left. Tick, tick, tick.

Veteran employees fed up, hoping to get the push or leaving on their own. New employees wondering what the hell they have gotten themselves into. Tick, tick, tick.

Lies, denial, backstabbing...

Yes, they are going to be featured extras in an ocean bound travelling producion of "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying."So far their performance and reviews of the show have been dismal. Hmm, performance reviews dismal? Sounds just like LMI.

I hope that they are at least smart enough to offer these plants to the town of Billerica, so that they won't go to waste. Plants the size of these would fetch a pretty penny at your local nursery. They could even offer them to the downtrodden employees. At least the employees would get something from the company, besides the shaft.

LMI now has a conscience and does not want a reduction of force, it would look negatively on the balance sheet!

I heard RG is now in charge of the grass mowing?

LMI never had and never will have a conscience, BMS never had one and we all know that LMI is just a thinly veiled persona of BMS. Same sh*t culture, sh*t values, sh*t huddles, sh*t one on ones and sh*t VP of Mfg.

Anyone that thinks LMI has suddenly developed a conscience must be living in the Land of Oz. Back away from the Kool-Aid! Better yet go outside and take some deep breaths cause they might be pumping the stuff through the HVAC. While you're out there you can watch them pull out the shrubry. Last time I saw that done it was because of an impending property forclosure. The owners were removing everything they could including the stuff that was nailed down, plumbed in and yes, even rooted into the ground. But that would be below the big hearted folks at LMI...

Wow, this thread is amazing. It's a consistent list of the same complaints right from the beginning. Go back 5 years - the same sh*t. According to all those posts, the company should have folded years ago, but it's still here. What up with that? Explanations?

They've tossed out the idependent minded people with pricipals. Mostly veterans that contributed to the successful and ethical operation of the bussiness for many years. Anyone even suspected of criticizing management was made an example of. Everyone else got the message "shut the F up" and "go along to get along". Nothing left there but a heard of sheeple and a decaying company. LMI will cease to exist before the end of 2013.

Lookie Lookie, from the June 2012 SEC form 8-k report filed by LMI:
Ben Venue Laboratories, Inc. (“BVL”) has recently restarted the manufacturing of DEFINITY® and Cardiolite®, and we currently
expect BVL to resume manufacturing other Lantheus products over the summer. On June 29, 2012, we sent our first shipments of
newly-manufactured DEFINITY® to customers. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we will work to get back to full and normal
production and rebuild our DEFINITY® inventory levels. We will also begin shipping BVL-manufactured Cardiolite® to customers after
successful completion of the necessary quality review. We can give no assurances, however, that all of the product BVL has recently
manufactured for us will successfully complete the quality review and commercial release process, or that BVL will be able to
manufacture product for us on a timely and consistent basis in the future.

If BVL is not able to provide us adequate supply of DEFINITY, Cardiolite and Neurolite for a further prolonged period of time, we are unable to regain sufficient market share, or we are not able to obtain adequate supply of such products from alternative suppliers, we will need to implement certain expense reductions such as a delay of discretionary spending including possible reductions in sales and marketing and research and development activities, as well as other operating and strategic initiatives. Despite these initiatives, because our prior inventory of DEFINITY, Cardiolite and Neurolite from BVL is exhausted, our third quarter 2012 results will be negatively impacted and we could be in default with one or more of the financial ratio covenants in the Facility in 2012. If this were to occur, we would seek either an additional amendment to the Facility or a waiver or consent in connection with the appropriate financial covenants to eliminate such potential default. There can be no assurance that we would be able to obtain an amendment, waiver or consent from our lenders.

They had best be drinking the free coffee that costs them 100k annually. Some of those folks can do without the donuts too.
