Default Considering an interview...

I've been in big pharma for nearly 7 years. Looking for a change. Is Valera stable? Is there a strong pipeline? What is the expected salary range? Any information will help my decision.

What area will you be working? There are only a few managers and who you work for matters! Also, salary with your experience should get you around 75-80k here as that is what most of us make. Also, stock options and around $500per month car allowance and other perks. As far as stability and pipeline, that is anyones guess. Not a big fan of the V.P of sales. Very inexperienced and seems a bit shady, but all and all good people and start ups on the resume are always a plus.
Best of luck.

I am also considering interview with Valera for a position and would like to know what the culture is and how Vantas is doing in Urology offices and the Mgrs how many are there and how large are territories.

Who is the recruiter that is setting up interviews? I would really appreciate a response--I'm in the Orlando area.

You do not want to work for the current manager. She has a bit of a bad reputation at this company as well as her last company. Very unprofessional in her work appearance as well as her attitude in offices and with reps.

There is a rep in Orlando already. Not likely that they will hire there.

I'm considering interviewing in the NY Metro area. Any news on the manager. I've had some inexperienced managers in the past and it has back fired on me in the office.

RUN RUN RUN as fast as you can. This is a tough marketplace especially for a me too drug like this one. Mgt sucks and I am waiting for the lay offs. We are not selling anything anymore now that our small loop hole is gone (docs were making great money off us for a short period). In fact, most doc;s are gonna reimplant with Viadur because they like it better or go back to Lupron. All of the other products that compete are a joke. We have no piple line and our next indication wont happen for years - RUN

thank you so much!! There's nothing more convincing than some retard posting a negative comment at 2:30 in the morning. I'm so happy that the people interested in our company are not that stupid as to believe the bullshit posted on the national inquirer, er, capha pharma.

You know what, I can't understand where the negativity comes from. Smaller is better...I came from big pharma, my manager is great when I need something corporate or mgmt. tries to get it for me, so what the greedy bastards ( the docs) need to realize that their lhrh holiday is over. The reps that will do well with this drug now are the true sales people as opposed to order takers. We are a start up company, there will be bumps in the road, but my bonus money made this year is more than I have ever made in big pharma and I think patience will get a gogetter anywhee with this company

All Valera cares about is how to squeeze the most out of the physicians pocket, so they can look nice for a potential buyover!!!

Vantas is about done. Viadur will eventually win as Doctors consistently report its better from an insertion/excision viewpoint. In fact, over 1/2 of my physicians bitch and moan about how hard it is to deal with the Vantas hydrogel. Our days are numbered.

Then leave if you think your days are numbered. Maybe if you educated your docs a little better they wouldn't have a problem with insertion or removal. I can't understand why reps constantly feel the need to bitch, bitch and bitch some more. See ya later, by the way..don't let the door hit you on the ass as you go.
